Welcome to this week’s Sunday Post. This feature is brought to you by The Caffeinated Book Reviewer, so swing by after you are done here and get the full list of participants!

  •   Quit Bein’ Ugly by Lani Lynn Vale
  •   Finding Elodie by Susan Stoker

  •   I got nothing this week-I was a bit too busy!

physical copies thanks to the authors and publishers:

Today is my 17th wedding anniversary! We don’t have anything planned because we are both usually exhausted on the weekends!

Well, I had 2 separate second round interviews and got job offers from both schools! I was thrilled. I decided on sticking with public school (seriously the state teachers retirement is hard to pass up, and it will give me options for when I complete my school psych license). I will be a high school intervention specialist! Go me!

That was pretty much my week! I got some fun bookmail this week as well. My students start state testing on Monday and I can’t wait for it to be over. Two weeks of long morning where my students stress about it, then spend the rest of the day too burnt out do any work. Then, 4 more weeks of school where we have to fight the kids every day because they don’t understand why we still have to do stuff when they have already taken the test. Seriously, send wine to all your teacher friends during this time-it’s no joke!

I started a binge on Law and Order last week. Peacock only has seasons 13-20, but I was happy to have some to watch. I’ve seen all of them, but its been awhile. Yesterday I started Law and Order SVU. Again, I’ve seen all of them before, but it’s been awhile so I am starting at the beginning!

So, whats new with you this week? Did you read any of the same books I did? Did you find any great book deals I need to grab ASAP? Let me know in the comments!

  1. Congrats on getting both jobs! That is awesome!
I hate when networks make you pay for something but don’t have all the episodes. Feel like if you pay you should get them all.

Have a great week, Samantha! Happy Reading!

  2. Huge congratulations on getting both jobs – go you! And yes… I can imagine it must be hellish keeping the students on track after they’ve taken the test, especially after such a difficult, demanding year. I hope it isn’t too grim! In the meantime, have a lovely week, Samantha.

  3. *flailing* So much fantastic news here! Congratulations to you and your husband on 17 years. That’s amazing! Whoo hoo! New job! How wonderful! Now you have something fabulous to look forward to in the fall.
