Wanna help out a teacher?? Here is my amazon list if you are so inclined!

eARCs thanks to the authors and publishers:

We have a pool!!! We found that our design plan wasn’t great and there are a few issues with leveling. However, we figured we would fix those once we drain the pool at the end of summer. For now though, I want my pool! So exciting.

I spent most of the week doing grad school stuff. I only have 2 more weeks of classes before this quarter ends and I get a break before next quarter! I go back to work on the 9th, so it will be nice to have a grad school break to get settled into the new school year.

No decision has been made about whether or not we will return with masks. Masks and vaccines are VERY unpopular where I teach. So, I am a little afraid if the state doesn’t mandate it (which our governor has said he won’t), then we will be without masks. I just know this will lead to lots of quarantining which means I will have to sub more. I HATE subbing. But, at least I have my pool to come home too!

So, whats new with you this week? Did you read any of the same books I did? Did you find any great book deals I need to grab ASAP? Let me know in the comments!

  1. Congrats on the pool! Yay! That’s exciting! Masks will be required at my daughter’s school which I’m happy about. I’m nervous about her getting the virus. Fingers crossed there won’t be any outbreaks and quarantining for either of us!

  2. It’s so sad to hear about the vaccine and masks being so “unpopular” in a particular area. It’s like, how can a person be against public health and safety? Gah!

But hooray for the pool! What a great thing to come home to!

  3. Congratulations on the pool!

I’m so glad I’m not in a position to make masking decisions for anyone other than myself. How tired must leaders be who are trying to do the right thing? I can’t imagine dealing with the downright hatred and ignorance they’ve had to deal with for so long now. It’s a mask, it’s not the end of the world!

    Enjoy your week!
