Happy Father’s day to the dads out there and especially to my dad!! We are going to get together and have lunch this week! Yay!

Summer for teachers usually means doctors appointments! This week I had an eye doctor appointment and a pre-op physical. At my pre-op physical I also got a tetanus booster. The shot doesn’t hurt but OH MY GOSH was my arm killing me the next day. Horrible!! This week I have to have blood drawn. I’m also hoping my glasses come in this week-I hate wearing contacts all the time.

I have gotten a lot of reading done though! I also got new headphones so I got some audiobooks in as well. I have been participating in COYER and so far, I’m doing pretty good! Here is what I have “found” so far:

  •   Cover with a man (and no one else)-Defending Harlow- 1 point
  •   Read a book with trees on the cover-When the Dead Have It Easy- 2 points
  •   Read a book with a couple (fully clothed) on the cover-Calculated Risk- 2 points
  •   Read a book where the character is an assassin or thief- Brody’s Vow- 3 points
  •   Read a book thats HOT HOT HOT-Enchanted- 3 points
  •   Read a book with a man (fully clothed) on the cover- The Friend Zone- 3 points
  •   Read a book that takes place in the summer-Stone Cold Heart- 3 points
  •   Celebrate 2019 (read a book that is either #2, #1, or #9 in a series-or any combo of the numbers 2019)-Hide Your Crazy-3 points
  •   Read a book from an author with 3 names-How About No- 4 points
  •   Read a book that prominently features gaming in some way- Love in the Afternoon- 4 points
  •   Read a book set in the state you live in-Waiting for Tom Hanks- 5 points

That gives me a total of 33 points so far! Go me!!!!

My progress so far!

So, whats new with you this week? Did you read any of the same books I did? Did you find any great book deals I need to grab ASAP? Let me know in the comments!

  1. When I had my daughter, I already was in pain from the C-section but then I got a tetanus and whooping couch shots in each arm. I couldn’t lift my arms at all and I was trying to walk plus care for the baby. It wasn’t fun lol
You are rocking COYER! You are doing great! I am having fun with this challenge this time. Now have to come up with something crazy for winter. :LOL

Have a great week, Samantha! Happy Reading! xx

    • Yeah the TDAP is awful. I can’t even imagine trying to hold a baby after that. I couldn’t hold my laptop!

I love the treasure hunts and bingo type challenges. For some reason, they work for me!

  2. I”m currently reading A Merciful Promise and a little on the edge of my seat with the situation Mercy is in. Love the series! I also got a copy of Archangle’s war and I can’t wait to read it after that clffy we were left with in the last book.

Shots are the worst the next day! My arm is always really sore too. Hope yours feels better. 🙂

  3. LOL, yes when I cut my hand and needed stiches, I got the tetanus booster, with whooping cough booster and your are right my arm hurt for almost a week. Like a muscle pull. Enjoy your time with your Dad. My Dad passed a few years ago so make the most of those lunches!

  4. I know about the tetanus shot!!! The worse is the day after and the day after and … Well enjoy your holiday, relax, read and everything Samantha!
