  •   The Reality of Everything by Rebecca Yarros
  •   The Jackal by JR Ward
  •   If I actually am able to read a little, maybe something else!

This week’s upcoming releases:

ARCs thanks to the publishers and authors:

Physical books from the publishers and PR companies:

This week was a boon of book deliveries! Every day I came home to a package and I was so happy!!! Look at all those physical books I hauled! It was awesome and I am so grateful to all the pubs and authors.

Work was good this week. The students and I have settled into a routine of sorts and are starting to dive into the learning. My previous position wasn’t a classroom teacher; I was push in services so I never really taught or anything. I just helped out. But now I teach and I forgot how much time goes into the prep for teaching. Each night when I came home I was prepping for the next day. I’m hoping to get a bit ahead this weekend.

I was still really tired this week (plus the lesson planning) so I didn’t get anything read. And this week I out of scheduled posts and books I read awhile back. YIKES! Hopefully I can get lesson planning done this weekend and then have some time to read during the week!

So, whats new with you this week? Did you read any of the same books I did? Did you find any great book deals I need to grab ASAP? Let me know in the comments!

  1. I didn’t realize you only did support at your old school. Planning was a massive undertaking every week, though the thing I enjoyed most about teaching was constructing the lessons and support materials. Glad to hear things are going well, and yeah for so much book mail.

  2. Yes… it’s the planning that makes the job so very demanding. Do you plan as a yeargroup team? That’s what we did and it certainly spreads the load… I hope you find the coming week a bit less exhausting and get a chance to put your feet up and read a bit!

  3. WOW the pûblishers have spoiled you samantha! And eys being a teacher takes so much time! But you’ll get the hang of it in no time I’m sure! have a wonderful Sunday!

  4. Great book haul! I’m glad your school is going well and hope you enjoy the teaching. I AM Revenge bedtime procrastination, at least I was when I worked 80 hours a week. I know the feeling well. I had to stay up to have at least some time to do what I wanted even if I was tired the next day. I hope you settle into a good pattern for school and get to read some of those exciting books.

  5. Wow, look at all those books! Woo-hoo!

Yeah planning is a massive undertaking, especially when it’s the first year. It’s easier when you’ve got a few years under your belt – still have to adapt but you’ve got your rhythm. Of course, for teachers this year it’s all new huh?

Hope you have time to read this week and get your planning done this weekend ?

  6. I’m not working while we’re traveling with my husband’s job but I definitely had revenge bedtime procrastination when I was working! I can’t imagine being a teacher right now. Everything seems so unsettled and uncertain! Good luck! Make some time for yourself!

  7. Yay for an awesome book haul, even if you don’t have time for reading you have plenty o look forward to. I’m sorry you’re still tired and busy but settling into a new job always is. I hope you do get ahead with your lesson planning and I hope you have a good week.

  8. Good luck with the lesson planning and getting some posts scheduled and reading done! Your book haul is awesome so you’ve plenty to choose from. 🙂

It’s been a great release week, this week. I got my pre-order of Emerald Blaze but I’m also liking the look of Rebecca Yarros’ new book but I’m wary of it because her military romances tend to break me, lol.
