Yall, it was a WEEK! Monday my co-teacher didn’t show up. Honestly, not that big of a deal because I just took over. She didn’t exactly leave a lesson plan so I had to pull something together last minute. Then Tuesday we had a meeting after school with the admin team to discuss how dysfunctional we are as a team. So yeah… Now we have to have this complicated lesson plan submitted and plan together. That means she has to get her shit together before Sunday so she can tell me what we are doing for the week. We have a follow up meeting on Tuesday. Sigh. I think I’m just so done with teaching I don’t even care any more. I just want this year to be over.
I had 2 videos to make this week for grad school too. One was of me giving another cognitive assessment and one was of me doing a counseling session. I HATE my counseling class because I am in over my head. Is this trimester over yet? Cause I’m dead.
But, I got everything done and no one died, so I’m counting that as a win. We only have a few more weeks until Thanksgiving (and a 5 day weekend). Then only a few weeks until Christmas (and a 2 week break).
So, whats new with you this week? Did you read any of the same books I did? Did you find any great book deals I need to grab ASAP? Let me know in the comments!

Yay for no one dying, including you! Those breaks are so important. Is there anyone you can talk to about the counseling class? I always found that when I could relate a class to real life I did better.
Anne – Books of My Heart This is my Sunday Post
You are working so hard — full time job and school. It would be nice if the adult you are working with did her job. That’s frustrating. I can’t believe she got away with having no emergency plans too. Is this an in-class support situation? Are you the special ed teacher or her? When I did in-class, I gave a copy of my plans to my cooperating teacher well in advance so she could add the mods. It was required.
Well Samantha I totally get you there. It’s really hard to collaborate with someone who is not very willing! Hugs.
What a week. It’s so frustrating that you can’t depend on your co-teacher to uphold her end and be dependable. I’d be counting the days to the next break too!
Ugh I feel you with the horrible school year. I actually still get emails from other districts every week with their openings listed, and I know November is when a lot of retirement notices get turned in. There was actually a library opening for a district closer to where I live and so I’m going to apply. This job I started this year is not what a school library should be. And half the time I don’t have my assistant because she’s out or because they use her to cover secretaries or the nurse. So I feel you on that! I hope things get better for you. I haven’t read the last few Lani Lynn Vale books, but need to get back on hers soon! Hope this week is better.
I can’t wait to see what you think of Dark Tarot, so I am excited for that review this week. And I hope you love Highland Wolf and that Marjorie M. Liu (I had a blast with that series years ago)
Its always the worst when you can’t depend on your co workers to follow through.
Hope this week is much better for you.
