- Who knows!
I very angry at amazon. They took away my review privilege. I have emailed them to get it back, but no response. 90% of my reviews were for verified purchases! So, I bought all my books this week on iBooks, and my audiobooks on Chirp. Anyone else have experience with this?? I know lots of people over the years have lost their reviews, so maybe someone has a specific contact or something.
Work was busy. Lots of meetings and testing and paperwork! But, I enjoy my job a great deal. Next week is packed with much of the same!
It has progressively gotten warmer this week. Today it is suppose to be 90 again!
Mr. Book Disciple had his birthday on Friday. At his job, they get their birthday off, so he has a long weekend. We didn’t do anything for his birthday-once you are over 40, it becomes less of something to celebrate outwardly. Naps and favorite foods are the birthday celebration of choice!
So, whats new with you this week? Did you read any of the same books I did? Did you find any great book deals I need to grab ASAP? Let me know in the comments!

That’s quite a perk that everyone at your husband’s job get their birthday off. I try to schedule it out each year. I had to work once, and I was miserable. I hope he has a wonderful birthday. So, you can’t post any reviews at Amazon? That’s so weird. I had one review they wouldn’t let me post. I still, to this day, have no idea why. Hope all goes well with your busy week.
You can’t post your review anymore? Never??? It’s never happened to me but I don’t post my reviews there very often. Maybe once a month so I think there is that. I hope they’ll reconsider!
That sucks about Amazon! I’ve heard of it happening to other people. That’s awesome that you love your job. I think if I was still at my last library job I wouldn’t be as stressed, but my new one I don’t love, so every little thing probably seems worse than it actually is. I hope you have a good week!
I’m sorry about the Amazon review thing. It’s always been wonky. I don’t review there unless the author requests it, usually. I’m so glad you are enjoying your job now. That will make your life easier all around. Without classes, you can have more balance.
I hope your husband had a wonderful birthday even if it was just relaxing at home with some good comfort food. I actually rarely review on Amazon unless its an ARC. I never know if they will deny or approve the reviews. It’s really wonky sometimes.
Reviewing on Amazon sucks. If you have anything they deem vulgar language (so subjective!) they reject the review, and then you have to have bought $50 with them over the year to review. I buy everything from them on my shared account with my daughter (we share prime) and then review on our personal account so that’s a hassle.
That’s terrible about the Amazon reviews! I’ve heard of other bloggers getting banned or having their reviews deleted. Their policies seem so subjective and they never seem to give explanations of their actions. I hope you’re able to resolve it. So glad you are enjoying the new job! What a switch from the last few years!
