Another week spent mostly on grad school. An article analysis, a literature review report, a paper on culturally acceptable practices, 2 quizzes, and more discussion posts than I can count. Thankfully, in one of my classes, this week’s topic was IEPs. Since I write about 30 a year, I could do the assignments without much thought at all.

We have had non stop rain here. It is kind of insane and it is really interfering with my ability to set up my pool. Sigh.

I had to have blood drawn on Friday which is never fun. I think the phlebotomist was new because she had some trouble. It did not make things easier for sure! But, I didn’t pass out and that is all I really care about. I rewarded myself with a trip to the Half Price Books around the corner!

So, whats new with you this week? Did you read any of the same books I did? Did you find any great book deals I need to grab ASAP? Let me know in the comments!

  1. High five for not passing out! Sorry you got the new guy for your draw. (BTW I am a puker and passer outer, so I relate hard to this) You’re doing awesome with all your school work. I hope there is a break in the weather so you can enjoy your pool.

  2. We haven’t had nonstop rain for a couple weeks, but still have had enough that I’m having to still mow at least once a week. Usually by this time of the summer I can wait almost two weeks. Plus the ditch in front of my house had water in it so I couldn’t mow it when I did the rest of the yard. Ooh, C.M. Stunich, I like her Rock-Hard Beautiful series. I do love BookTok too! Have a great week!

  3. Ugh, too bad you got the newbie for the blood draw. Maybe next time ask for proof of seniority. LOL You totally deserved the trip to the bookstore. I hope you can get the pool set up soon! Sounds like the perfect balance to all that schoolwork.

  4. Ugh, I hate getting blood work done… It’s not because I have an issue with the needles, I just have tricky veins that they often struggle to hit on the first attempt so I come out feeling like a pin-cushion and bruised. 🙁 Definitely worth some new books. 🙂

Fingers crossed the rain eases off and you can set up your pool this week!
