Trapped in Ice is book number 5 in the Ice Breaker series, but you really can read it as a stand alone. Madalyn has been on the run since she was a preteen-new identity, no friends, and no breaking the rules. But, a year after her mother passes, she decides to break some of the rules and starts her own business. Then a killer finds her.
Smith has been half in love with Madalyn since high school, and now that she is suddenly back in his orbit, he isn’t just going to walk away this time. When he realizes she is in major danger, he is forcing his way into her life. Unraveling who is trying to kill her now means they need to unravel who abducted her then. Their relationship is a bit of the bodyguard trope, a bit second chance and it really works. I found the story was keeping me engaged and it moved at a pretty fast pace! Trapped in Ice is a must read for romantic suspense fans!
