Nothing-it was a rough, busy week!
It was a stressful week. My anxiety was HIGH. Hopefully, next week will be better. Its only a 3 day week at least! We have a short spring break (Thursday,Friday, Monday off) and I am hoping to get my anxiety back under control. I had to take an Ativan 3 times last week and that hasn’t happened in a while! We have conferences on Tuesday though, so even a short week will be LONG.
We had the funeral for the student who died. Going to student funerals is something you are never ready for or know how to handle. You don’t know what to do-how to comfort the family, how to support your students in grieving. It is just such an awful experience for all.
I keep waiting for the weather to warm up, but it just isn’t happening. All week the temperatures in the morning (when I have bus duty) were in the teens or low 20s! It warmed up to the low to mid 40s by the afternoon, but that was it. Hopefully we will be out of the freezing mornings soon because I am kind of over it.
So, whats new with you this week? Did you read any of the same books I did? Did you find any great book deals I need to grab ASAP? Let me know in the comments!
So sorry about your Anxiety. I hope the medication worked, I hate when mine gets overwhelming. Sending you Hugs.
Sorry to hear about your student. I am not sure how to handle something like that especially the students in the same grade. I am very sorry for your loss.
It is starting to warm up here also, so I hope we both get some nice weather soon!
I hope this week is a good one for you Samantha! Happy Reading! xx
Thankfully the Ativan works quickly. It makes a sleepy, but at least I don’t have a panic attack in the middle of the school day!
The mornings are cold, but the warmth is coming. After this week, I know it is warming in these parts (hope it comes your way). Funerals are hard, especially when a young person dies. It’s tough at school too. I hope your short week goes well and that you enjoy your short break.
Thanks!
I hope the short week helps you out, even with the conferences. It’s spring break this week for my daughter and we will have a bit warmer temperatures and sun! She actually felt less anxious and took the dog for a walk today! Balance is the best so you have a more even mix this week of work and off days. Enjoy!
Yay for your daughter!! That is awesome!
I am sorry you have such high anxiety these days Samantha! I hope next week will be sweeter for you. Sending hugs from Belgium!
Thank you!!
I’m sorry that you had a terrible week and I’m sorry for the student who passed away. Let’s hope your week is better this week.
Thank you!
I hope this week is better for you. A short work week is always a nice reprieve. Happy reading!
Thank you!
I’m sorry you had such a tough week for so many reasons!! 🙁 I’m sure things will look up, and perhaps the short week will be a nice break for you! Time to relax and get things on your to do list done, or just read the days away! 🙂
I’m hoping to read-my reading has suffered!
Sorry to hear things have bee stressful. Hope you find something to help your anxiety, and that the weather improves. Have a lovely week, Sam! 🙂
I’m so sorry to hear about the student’s funeral. I’m sure that is something you could never get used too. I hope this week is much better.
I hope the short spring break is just what you need. So sad about the loss of the student. It’s so hard to want to offer comfort but feel at a loss.
Oh my gosh, I am so sorry to hear about your student! And I am sorry your anxiety has been high as well. It is constant battle for me too. Fingers crossed this week is a little easier on you.
