We survived the week!! The appraisal went well. The dogs escaped once, but thankfully they didn’t get too far (they stayed in the neighborhood at least). I got through all 7 of my evaluations. I made it through conference night part 1 (which is a 12 hour work day). It wasn’t always pretty, but its over! This week I only have 1 meeting and 1 more conference night.
Saturday we had to take Ranger to the vet for his annual check up. He refuses to sit in the back seat of the car. Granted, its a Mustang, so there isn’t much space and he weights 76 lbs, but still. So, he and my husband shared the front seat on the way home. He is healthy, but overweight. His diet starts as soon as the special food gets here. Sammy, Dean, and Calleigh all got baths this weekend too. It was in the upper 70’s, so we would do it outside.
My asthma seems a little better this week. One teacher I work with has some sort of plug in or oil diffuser that really triggers my asthma, so I am trying to just avoid that room. This week, the lows are getting close to freezing, so that should help cut the pollen count.
So, whats new with you this week? Did you read any of the same books I did? Did you find any great book deals I need to grab ASAP? Let me know in the comments!
I’m glad to hear you survived the busy week and things went pretty well! I am torn about the freeze. It’s great for allergies but I have food and flowers which are still lovely.
Anne – Books of My Heart This is my Sunday Post
Congratulations on making it through a lot of stuff. Glad to hear the appraisal and meetings went well.
Essential oils can trigger allergic reactions! I am surprised she can use that in a room where kids stay a lot of time though.
Glad you survived the week! My allergies are kicking my butt. I am praying for colder weather so I can breath again.
Have a great week, Samantha! Happy Reading!
Those diffusers and plugins are really an issue for people with allergies. One of my cats has asthma and I can’t use them anymore because they will really bother her. Given the diversity in schools and have so many people with different sensitivities, I’m surprised they are allowed.
We are not allowed to do the diffusers and plug-ins at school because of people with allergies/asthma. Glad your appraisal went well! Hope all of that works out the way you want it. I’m so ready for the cold weather and I think we might be getting a frosty morning this week too. Our parent conferences are usually the week of my birthday, in two weeks, but this year they timed it perfectly so that they are over Halloween. Which means they are over at around 4 or 5 on Halloween and then we always have the day after conferences off, so no kids the day after Halloween all hyped up on candy! lol. Hope you have another good week!
I need to see the chubby puppy in the front seat of the Mustang!
I had to giggle at the picture of both Ranger and your husband in the front passenger seat. Glad all is well with Ranger. I hear you on your asthma. I have allergies that hate every aspect of Fall. I am stuck inside during this beautiful weather. I’m glad your asthma is better this week. Looks like a nice book haul.
It’s surprising that they allow diffusers when they can cause problems. Happy to hear the appraisal went well and you got through the week! Have a wonderful week, Sam!
