Welcome to this week’s Sunday Post. This feature is brought to you by The Caffeinated Book Reviewer, so swing by after you are done here and get the full list of participants!

I have no idea. I’m so busy and reading is just not happening for me lately.

eARCs thanks to the authors and publishers:

So busy! Another appointment for Calleigh on Wednesday to have her hobbles changed. Then another conference night on Thursday. And I realized I have just way too many evaluations to do. Add in that the kids are constantly absent and I feel like I am just drowning. I have just so much to do.

My anxiety has been pretty bad and, at first, I couldn’t figure out what the problem was. Then I remembered we were titrating my anxiety meds down. My doctor had me at a high dose, and it was causing me to clench my jaw really hard. So, we started dropping down 25 mg per week. I was down from 150 to 100 when I realized how many of my symptoms had come back. Nail biting, skin picking, and nightmares were taking over. I was anxious all the time over things that were trivial. So, I’m bumping back up 25 mg to see if that levels things out. If not, I will have to make an appointment and tell my doctor that I have to stay at 150. I’ve tried other anxiety medications in the past and the one I am on now has been by far the best. I’m willing to deal with jaw clenching. I can get new teeth (hahaha).

Calleigh is very sick right now too. On Friday she wouldn’t eat her breakfast. She does this sometimes. By Friday night, she had diarrhea. Saturday, it was BAD. But, by Saturday evening she was eating dinner again, so it was just another quick bug. Thank goodness because the diarrhea was just awful.

Thankfully, I have a day and a half off. I have a half day Monday, then I’m off on Tuesday for our “fall break”. I will probably spend it getting caught up on paperwork because I’m so behind! I will also continue binging Island Hunters on HGTV. These people are buying private islands. Sometimes in not interesting places (like on Buckeye Lake in Ohio…um no thank you), but sometimes its in cool places like Tahiti!

Dean escaped again. We had to chase him through the woods in the dark. Added fun-it was 45 degrees and raining. So, dark, muddy, and cold. He got pretty far too. I think now that all the grass and plants around the fence line are dying, it is exposing escape routes.

So, whats new with you this week? Did you read any of the same books I did? Did you find any great book deals I need to grab ASAP? Let me know in the comments!

  1. Poor Calleigh! You do get what I’m dealing with Dora right now. And you understand the craziness of school too. We have conferences in two weeks, and then a day off after a full day of them. I hope Calleigh continues to get better and that your escape artist stops it! Hope you have a better week! We both need some time and the state of mind for reading!

  2. I don’t think I could teach or work in a school- my brain would short out lol!

I’m sorry to hear about Calleigh. Glad it passed quickly. Our neighbors are having trouble with their dog escaping too. No matter what they he gets out.

  3. I hope you’re able to find the right level with your meds. No need to live with the symptoms coming back – that’s doing you no good. Hooray for the day and a half off. Hope you can get caught up with the extra time!

  4. oh no I am sorry to hear that your anxiety has been so bad. Its so hard finding the right level for those meds. Hope you can find the right balance there. I have that Melissa Foster and Catherine Cowles on my list and very excited for those. Hope you can get some good reading in this week.

    Happy Reading!
