Welcome to this week’s Sunday Post. This feature is brought to you by The Caffeinated Book Reviewer, so swing by after you are done here and get the full list of participants!

I have nothing planned!

eARCs thanks to the authors and publishers:

Book cover for Little Ray of Pitch Black by Lani Lynn Vale. Close-up black-and-white photo of a bearded man in sunglasses. Bold white title text overlays barbed wire graphic. Purple author name at bottom. Part of the Don't Date Him series, book 11.

That was the longest week ever. Tuesday we returned to school after fall break and faced the death of one of PE teachers. Most of the kids already knew-it was all over social media. Everyone was just trying to keep things as normal as possible. I totally understand why kids prefer that-especially middle school kids. Its hard to wear your feelings on the outside. And its confusing-they might not feel much and then they feel bad about that. So, we didn’t have many kids who needed counseling that day, and I expected that. There are several members of the staff who are still really taking things hard.

I am also still sick. This is week 3 of constant cough and congestion. I did a telehealth visit and they prescribed me antibiotics, but so far, it hasn’t helped at all. I cough all the time. I can’t sleep because I wake myself up coughing. I cough so hard I see stars and get dizzy. I’m taking over the counter cough meds, mucinex, sudafed…if I don’t get better soon, I might go crazy.

Things are also very busy at work. Or maybe it feels busier because I feel so crappy? Who knows. But there is a lot to do.

This week I have a hair appointment Wednesday and my hair needs cut big time! Thursday I have my regular 6 month check up with my doctor. If I’m still coughing then, I will beg for the good cough meds.

So, whats new with you this week? Did you read any of the same books I did? Did you find any great book deals I need to grab ASAP? Let me know in the comments!

I hope they can figure out what is making you cough. I am sure it is frustrating not being able to find some relief.

  2. I’m sorry to hear about the PE teacher, that’s really hard for a school community. A cough stinks. I can’t take Nyquil or Sudafed–it has the opposite effect of restfulness for me. Mucinex is the only thing that sort of works. that and sleeping sitting up–which sucks! I hope your cough relents asap.
