Non-Bookish News:

The weather is just getting ridiculous now. The first week of October in the 90’s??! What fresh hell is this? And I probably would be less pissed about it if my work had AC but we don’t. So imagine 400+ teenagers and their teachers spending 8 hours together with no AC….horrifying, right?

However, I am glad to see October. This kicks off my favorite months of the year-October, November, December. I’m all about Thanksgiving and Christmas, so the time leading up to them is my favorite. I’m also pretty fond of January and February, but they are second best.

The only book box I subscribe to now is the Bae Crate. This past week my September box arrived with a copy of How to Love a Duke in Ten Days! I loved that book so I am excited to have a physical copy and a gorgeous art print of the characters. Art prints have become my new favorite things!

So, whats new with you this week? Did you read any of the same books I did? Did you find any great book deals I need to grab ASAP? Let me know in the comments!

  1. I used to teach in a school without a/c and the beginning and end of each year was tough. This up and down with the weather has me batty too. That art print is cool, though, something about the woman in it reminds me of Jane from the animated Tarzan movie. Maybe it’s just me. (Thanks for sharing my post! XOXO)

  2. This is the first year my daughter has AC in her school. We are also super hot, however this week that will change since Thursday we get a storm and it brings the cold weather. Like you this three months are my favorite and I also love Jan and Feb (Jan more) I am so looking forward to the weather getting colder.

Have a great week, Samantha! Happy Reading!

  3. Living in FL, I complain about the heat a LOT. But at least I always have AC anywhere I go. I cannot even imagine not having AC at work. Gah! I love Thanksgiving and Christmas, too. My favorite time of year. It’s crazy how they’re just around the corner! The art print is so cute! 🙂

  4. Well it is unseasonally warm here too Samantha and very windy! I don’t like AC though as it gives me headaches. I just hope that the weather will become more “normal”. I swear I am depressed just seeing all these climate changes and that no ruler does a single thing to change our way of life and take appropriate measures!

  5. I feel you on the 90 degree. This week was weird. We had to 90 degree days in a row. Heat Advisory. Then after those two days we had rain and 50 weather for 2 days. Now it’s in the 60’s and fall weather. No A/C for us either, so it was missable those two days. I’m ready to welcome in Oct, Nov, and Dec. I love the holidays this time of year. Have a great week and happy reading!

  6. I love September to December but January and February can go do one! They’re always the worst months for me. ::(
Sucks that the temperatures are still so hot where you are considering it’s October. We’re currently having endless rain… It’s good reading weather though!
