Happy Sunday! My trip to Spokane was great! I had a wonderful time with friends I finally got to meet in person. We have been together in these classes for a year now and it was awesome to meet in person. Spokane was beautiful too and it was nice to go somewhere I haven’t been before! Here are some pics:

Most of the week was spent traveling or in Spokane. During the day we had crisis training which is necessary, but still tough to even think about. And then when I get home there is a report of an active shooter at a nearby school. Apparently, several schools were “swatted” because people called in false reports of active shooters. What kind of world is this?

That was my busy week! I am spending most of my weekend napping because I am just exhausted. Next week at work I am SUPER busy with meetings, but I’m prepared!

So, whats new with you this week? Did you read any of the same books I did? Did you find any great book deals I need to grab ASAP? Let me know in the comments!

  1. Great pictures! Glad to hear your trip went well. My last few years of teaching, we were spending more time outside (bomb threats, fires set in bathrooms) and had a real active shooter lockdown. I was sitting under that lab table for over an hour. Very stressful. May all the training prepare you, but never have to be used in a real situation.

  2. Looks like a nice trip! I’ve only read the hashtag series by Cambria Hebert, but I need to read more of her books. Yeah, luckily we’ve only practiced for the active shooter things. And not at all with students in the building last year, probably because it was back from Covid year. We’ll see if it happens this year. Unfortunately we have tons of fights between kids at my school I switched to a year ago, and that is scary too. Thanks for visiting my Sunday post earlier, hope you have a good week!
