#TopTenTuesday: Books that make me want to TRAVEL!

Posted June 12, 2018 in Discussion Tags:

Its appropriate that today’s topic is about travel when I am on my way back from a mission trip in Jamaica! So, here are some books set in places that make me want to visit!

NYC

I visited NYC when I was 16 and in the Macy’s Parade! However, reading Hot Asset by Lauren Layne made me want to go back!

Moscow, Russia

Silver Silence is set mostly in Russia and I loved the book so much I wanted to see Moscow. I have always loved the architecture of Russia and its certainly on my bucket list!

London, England

I was so lucky to get to go to London last summer, but every time I read a book in Lisa Kleypas’ Ravenels series, I want to go again!

Cruise around the world

Reading the Renegades by Rebecca Yarros made me want to see so many places! I went on a cruise when I was 18 and it was a great experience.

Charleston, SC

I spent a ton of time as a kid in SC, but never Charleston. Every time I read one of the Ghost Bird books by CL Stone, I want to go!

Egypt

Ok, so in Rescuing Rayne by Susan Stoker, her trip to Egypt does NOT end well. Regardless, I have always wanted to see the country. So much history!!

What books made you want to travel? What are some locales on your wish list?

  1. I grew up in NY (Brooklyn), so I am well acquainted with the city. I went to YallFest one year, and absolutely LOVED Charleston. Egypt is definitely a bucket list item for me, and I would love to go on a cruise soon. They are the most relaxing vacations.
