From the New York Times bestselling author of the Marked Men series comes a captivating novella about a rugged rodeo star who will do anything to protect the people he loves.
When rodeo star Crew Lawton loses everything in a bad bet, he has no choice but to take a new job to pay off his debts - even if it means becoming the face of an expensive male skincare line. Crew is used to getting sweaty and rustling in the dirt, not posing for photo shoots. And he's certainly not used to being bossed around by a woman who doesn't even know the difference between bulls and broncs. But Crew owes money to dangerous criminals, and he'll do anything Della says in order to pay them back and keep them far away from his family in Loveless, Texas...
The launch of her new men's line for her family's company means everything to Della Deveaux, and she's not willing to let some rugged, arrogant cowboy ruin her campaign. Crew Lawton is the last man she would have chosen to represent her chic, sophisticated brand. Unfortunately, her father already invested millions in Crew's stupidly handsome face. Yet the more time they spend together, Della and Crew realize that opposites do attract. But when the time comes for Crew to face his past mistakes, will he be able to protect his family...and the woman he's come to love?
Unbroken kicks off what I think will be a GREAT new series from Jay Crownover. In this story we meet Crew, a rodeo guy on a downward spiral and Della, a wealthy girl trying to get her father’s attention. Crew owes money to a Vegas bookie and will do anything to get out of the debt. Turns out, his manager already signed him up for a way: the face of Della Deveraux’s newest line of products.
Crew is so damaged. He views himself as the black sheep of his family and has been hiding his troubles from them. Crew has a lot of pride and feels that he has to fix everything himself. Della is brilliant and enjoys working for Deveraux Beauty but her father never seems to appreciate anything she does. When he finally lets her have her own product launch, Della is going to move mountains to make sure its perfect. She judges Crew pretty much right off the bat. About 1/2 way through the story, I was getting some Pride and Prejudice vibes: he has too much pride, she has too much prejudice…Its cute.
These two have some smoking hot chemistry. They are total opposites but that is kind of what makes them explosive. The end is a bit rushed, but this is a novella so its to be expected. I really loved Della and Crew and am excited to get Crew’s siblings’ stories! Unbroken is a great start to the Loveless, Texas series and I am very excited to go back!

The Getaway Series by Jay Crownover, The Bear Bottom Guardians series by Lani Lynn Vale, The Whiskeys series by Melissa Foster …then you will probably like Unbroken!
This sounds really good! I need to pick up something by Jay Crownover.
I’m seeing this one out there quite a bit and it seems to be a good one. Gret review!
GReat! not Gret.
I’m reading this one right now and am about 60% in. Crew and Della are both so likable! I hate how hard Crew is on himself – viewing himself as nothing but a screw-up. Interesting about the P&P correlation – I can totally see that!
Ooo adding this to my list. Awesome find! Your review sold it.
