Goodreads
He was the most beautiful man alive. And if I wasn't careful, he was going to be my death.
*A scorchingly hot modern retelling of Psyche and Eros that's as sinful as it is sweet.*
In the ultra-modern city of Olympus, there's always a price to pay. Psyche knew she'd have to face Aphrodite's ire eventually, but she never expected her literal heart to be at stake...or for Aphrodite's gorgeous son to be the one ordered to strike the killing blow.
Eros has no problem shedding blood. But when it comes time to take out his latest target, he can't do it. Confused by his reaction to Psyche, he does the only thing he can think of to keep her safe: he marries her. Psyche vows to make Eros's life a living hell until they find a way out of this mess. But as lines blur and loyalties shift, she realizes he might take her heart after all...and she's not sure she can survive the loss.
“Fake” marriage, curvy heroine, and serious heat all create an explosive story in Electric Idol! I really adored Psyche because she is very down to earth and relatable. Eros is an unrepentant playboy murderer but he truly adores Psyche and that is hot.
Psyche fits the myth in that she is really self aware and strives for personal learning and improvement. Similarly, Aphrodite wants her dead and sends her son Eros to do the job. However, this is where the myth and Electric Idol diverge-instead he marries her (in the story). If you aren’t up to date on your mythology, it doesn’t matter. This book is brilliant in its adaptation of a classic love story.
My only frustration was I wanted these two to admit their feelings. They both kept it to themselves and it created unnecessary pain. However, that is typical of marriage of convenience tropes. Overall, this book was fantastic!

authors like Tessa Bailey, JR Ward, Nalini Singh…then you will probably like Electric Idol!
Yeah these two really kept their feelings from each other too long, but other than that I simply loved it. I am so fascinated with how this author is writing this series. I can’t wait to see what she has planned for us next!
Lovely review darling.
I thought the last one sounded good and I’m glad this next book was enjoyable. I can see them keeping their feelings to themself for too long being frustrating, but it is inevitable with a marriage of convenience plot so I’ll be prepared for that.
