Welcome to the July Edition of #ForeverSummerReading! Last month, I shared Mia Sheridan’s summer romance reads. Today I am sharing Amy Jarecki’s beach bag essentials!
If you are curious, check out my previous reviews for The Highland Duke, The Highland Commander, and The Highland Guardian! I adored these books and am thrilled about The Highland Chieftain, releasing at the end of the month!
What’s in my Beach Bag | Amy Jarecki
I have a pool in my backyard and I throw on my suit and dive in. But when I’m on vacation, I love long walks on the beach. And as a Scottish/Irish descendant I’m super fair and need mega sun protection. This summer I’ll be toting these along to make sure I enjoy every day burn-free:
Cat Eye Sunglasses: This year I chose red retro glasses for a trendy look. Love them!
Bella Straw Hat: I like wide-brimmed hats with a touch of bling. This one caught my eye!
Blencot Cover Up: A bit of frill and shoulder coverage makes this cover up tempting. And the price is right!
Neutrogena Beach Defense: Why didn’t they have spray-on suntan lotion when I was a kid? I love the ease and thorough coverage of a spray.
Olivia Miller Embellished Strap Sandals: Taking my bling all the way to my toes, these rhinestone flip-flops are perfect for strolls along the beach or the boardwalk. Yes, please!
BEACH BOOK PICK: Wilde in Love by Eloisa James. James is absolutely delightful—in person or on the page. Her books are fun and light, just the perfect indulgence for a day on the beach!
Thanks for sharing, Amy!
I too am a fair skinned Irish lass and have to lather up with SPF 100 even on a cloudy day! And I am so excited to read the new Eloisa James book!

He is the last man she would ever marry…After being unceremoniously jilted by her betrothed, Lady Mairi MacKenzie is humiliated and heartbroken – but she’s not desperate. As the daughter of an earl, she won’t give her hand to just anyone, and she definitely isn’t swayed by a last-minute proposal from Laird Duncan MacRae. The powerful clan chieftain may be disarmingly handsome and charming, but he’s not a nobleman. Mairi doesn’t want his pity or his charity – even though his dark smoldering gaze makes her melt with desire.
She is the only woman he could ever love…Dunn may be a battle-hardened clansman, but he’s always had a soft spot for Mairi. For years, she tormented him with flirtation – only to reject him. But he’s not giving up. When Mairi is attacked by redcoats, Dunn goes after the woman he loves. Through brute strength and fierce action, he will protect her life at any cost. But to win her heart, he will have to show her the tenderness in his own.
