It started off as a battle of wits. Me: the ordinary girl with a big mouth against Him: the sexy bastard with a big...ego.
I thought I’d hit the jackpot when I was upgraded to first class on my flight to London.
That is until HE sat next to me. Gabriel Scott: handsome as sin, cold as ice. Nothing and no one gets to him. Ever. He’s a legend in his own right, the manager of the biggest rock band in the world, and an arrogant ass who looks down his nose at me.
I thought I’d give him hell for one, long flight. I didn’t expect to like him. I didn’t expect to want him. But the biggest surprise? He wants me too. Only in a way I didn’t see coming.
If I accept his proposal, I leave myself open to falling for the one man I can’t manage. But I’m tempted to say yes. Because the real man beneath those perfect suits and that cool façade just might be the best thing that’s ever happened to me. And I just might be the only one who can melt the ice around his heart.
Let the battle begin…
Managed is book 2 in the VIP series. Could you read it as a stand alone? Sure, but it would be better to read Idol first. You meet Scottie in Idol and, frankly, I wasn’t a huge fan of his. So, when Callihan announced that his book would be 2nd, I was surprised. His heroine? Sophie, a fun, easy going photographer. They are Ying and Yang for sure!
Gabriel Scott is super uptight. In Idol, he was kind of a jerk at times. Sophie is so different. At first, I wasn’t sure their relationship would be believable because they are so dissimilar. Then, I was worried that he would crush Sophie because she seemed more into him. He is so closed off. But then…he really isn’t. Its a slow burn type of story and you can really FEEL how much Scottie wants to let her into his world. You can also see how much he really does care about the band and the guys in it. It totally made me warm to him in a way I wasn’t expecting. He isn’t flashy or domineering. He is reserved and pensive and its super hot! And Sophie is just plain great! You will love her-trust me!
What really makes this book wonderful is Callahan’s writing. She just has a beautiful way with words that draws you in so deeply you forget you are reading a story. Her books always captivate me and stick with me long after I finish. Her characters are some of my all time favorites and while I certainly didn’t expect to love Gabriel Scott, he has moved into my list of favorite Callihan characters!

Managed
Hey Samantha, I didn’t read your review because I plan on reading this book next week but I wanted to stop by and say hi. I’m really glad to see that you liked this one because I’m anxious!! I’ll be back after I read the book. 🙂
I enjoyed it! I wasn’t sure because I kind of thought Scottie was a douche, but it was good overall!
The Hook Up is one of my favorite books, I just love it. I actually just reread it for the 3rd time this Sunday. I bought this one last week and hope to read it soon!

I loved the Hook Up so much!!! I didn’t think I would like Managed. Idol was good, but I didn’t LOVE it. However, Managed surprised me!
