Non-Bookish News:

I finally caved and went to the doctor for this congestion. Sinus infection and an ear infection 🙁 Its more problematic for me because of my ear issues. I have a ruptured ear drum. They have tried to repair it in the past but they were unable to do so. I am 80% deaf in my left ear because of it and when I get an ear infection, I’m pretty much 100% deaf in that ear. I know better than to wait so long to see the doctor because of this but I did it anyway. So, now I have to follow up with my ENT and have my ear suctioned and stuff. But, I am feeling a little better now after a few days of antibiotics!

Friday after work I had my hair appointment as well. I am NOT a fan of anything girly like this. Spa days, mani/pedi, etc-they are all like my worst nightmare. But, I MUST get my hair dyed so I suck it up and go every 8 weeks. I love my stylist at least! Anyway, I’m glad its done for 8 weeks!

So, whats new with you this week? Did you read any of the same books I did? Did you find any great book deals I need to grab ASAP? Let me know in the comments!

  1. I’m glad you’re starting to feel a little better. Thankfully, antibiotics seem to work pretty fast.
I saw you had two DNF books.. That sucks.
I haven’t read any of the new books you’ve got. But I am a huge fan of all the books by Nora Roberts, so I really have to check out ‘The Obsession’.
    Good luck this week 😉

    • I am super excited about the Nora Roberts book! I have always enjoyed her writing style and her books were some of the first Romance novels I read.
Yes, I hate to DNF a book, but sometimes, I start a book and realize it is just not the book for me! Thanks for stopping by!

  2. Amy

I’m glad that you’re feeling a bit better now! Hopefully you’ll be back to full health very quickly.

I hate going to the hairdressers too. It’s a nightmare. Luckily, I don’t dye my hair so I can get away with going once or twice a year for a cut! 🙂

Thanks for visiting my Sunday Post 🙂

    • Yes, I could probably dye my hair at home, but thats such a pain so I brave the hairdresser every 8 weeks! I’m glad to know I’m not the only one who hates going!

  3. I am so sorry about your health issues. I hope the congestion, sinus infection, and ear infection clear up soon. That is so not fun, especially given your existing ear problems. Sending good health vibes your way. Looks like you ahve some fun books to keep you entertained! I am not a fan of getting my hair done either. This last time my husband was kind enough to help me dye my hair since I couldn’t afford to go to the salon (and my hair desperately needed a touch up. I wasn’t entirely happy with the results, but the price was right. It’s time for a touch up again and I’m debating whether to risk doing it at home again. . . I know lots of people do it–and do it well. I’m just not very good at it myself.

    Have a great week1

  4. I’m glad you finally went to the doctor, and that you’re feeling better now. I tend to put off doctor’s visits myself, as if stuff will just disappear on its own 😀
Your new books look great, and congrats on getting and ARC of the newest Nora Robert title!
Have a fantastic week and happy reading.
