Non-Bookish News:

I can’t believe its April. Hubby started his new job this week and so far, so good. I hosted a baby shower for my teammate who is having twins. I work at a Catholic school, so someone is ALWAYS pregnant, but since Erica is my teammate I had to host. Thankfully, it all went well. Also, thankfully, it’s over. Hosting things like that are never really my “thing”. I’m not creative or anything.

We have 3 more weeks until spring break. I’m not sure everyone will survive. Everyone is short tempered and tired. So very tired. I noticed my students are snippy with each other frequently. Even the students who are not normally catty. Thankfully, we have only 1 week with all 5 days (next week). Then the 2nd week of April we have to be there only 4 days. Then the 3rd week of April only 3 days. Then break. We can survive 12 days….right? These are the weeks when teaching high school becomes a LOT like teaching kindergarten-everyone tattles, everyone needs a nap, and everyone is whiny.

So, overall, a pretty low key week. I’m happy that we don’t have a negative bank balance, I can pay my bills, my students haven’t killed each other, and only 3 weeks until break.

So, whats new with you this week? Did you read any of the same books I did? Did you find any great book deals I need to grab ASAP? Let me know in the comments!

  1. Love that you saw the positive in your week. Baby shower sounds like it was nice, it was great of you to host it.
The kids break is in two weeks, I know they are looking forward to it but that means when I get home from work the house is going to be a mess. lol

I hope you have a great week, Samantha! Happy Reading! xx

  2. “These are the weeks when teaching high school becomes a LOT like teaching kindergarten-everyone tattles, everyone needs a nap, and everyone is whiny.” Ha Samantha! I so love this as it’s completely accurate! I hope your 12 days will fly by honestly! Have a great weel (all things considered).

  3. I’m glad your husband had a good start at his new job! I giggled at your “someone is always pregnant” comment! LOL! Ooh boy! Looks like all the teens are cranky. I can’t say I blame them. They are probably just really eager for that break. I have the LL book and I’m looking forward to it, though I am a teensy bit nervous too. It sounds different from her other reads!
I hope this week goes smoothly for you!

  4. Oh boy, hope everyone can hang in there until spring break. Sounds like it’s going to be a long 12 days. Seeing your KU picks reminds me that I haven’t read anything by Alexa Riley in ages and it’s about time I take a little break and insert some brain candy into my reading. LOL

  5. I’m glad your husband’s job is going well!
I laughed so hard at the “I work at a Catholic school, so someone is ALWAYS pregnant”. I went to a Catholic high school and a teacher was always pregnant and often so was a classmate ?
