@therealeddiebcomedyWhat teachers want to say while waiting on the Winter break#therealeddiebcomedy #teachers #fyp #teacher #teachersoftiktok #teacherlife #educatorsoftiktok
It’s the last week before the winter break and it is gonna be rough. The kids are wilder than usual, my administration is on us to ensure we are using the learning time to the maximum, I have 2 IEP meetings, it’s the end of the quarter, so progress reports and grades are due, and all my teacher buddies are just TIRED.
But, I finished all my classes for this quarter! I got 4 papers written in 3 days. Was it my best work? Not really. But, it is done while teaching full time, doing my practicum, and taking 5 grad classes, so maybe it was my best work. I’m just glad to have a little break.
The weather has been crazy here. Wednesday, we had a 2 hour delay due to snow. Then Friday there were a bunch of tornado watches and the wind was crazy! It was also 60 degrees. Next week it looks to be in the 50’s, which is super warm for Ohio in December. No snow days in my future and that makes me sad.
So, whats new with you this week? Did you read any of the same books I did? Did you find any great book deals I need to grab ASAP? Let me know in the comments!
Snow days really were a gift from mother nature. This time of year is no picnic. Hang in there!
Ooh, jealous! We don’t get out for break until the 22nd. So a week and a half left and our kids have been crazy! Thursday there were at least 3 fights! I read the new Meghan Quinn and am reading the new Penny Reid. Didn’t realize the new Rachel Van Dyken already came out this week! I’ll have to get my hands on it soon! Have a great week!
I would not survive until the 22nd!
Well it’s great that you only have one week and the grad school is completed. Hang in there. I hope it goes smoother than expected.

What an exhausting week it sounds like you have had there. So sorry to hear that. Hope this week is more relaxing for you.
I need to read Cora’s books. I’ve never read one. Your week sounds super exhausting! I hope you’re able to relax more soon!
Awesome you got all your classes done! Must be a huge relief. The weather’s been crazy out there! Hope you get a snow day.
Four papers in three days? I can’t even imagine. No wonder you’re ready for a break!!
