Merry Christmas to those who celebrate! We got an unexpected white Christmas here. It also dropped 40 degrees in 3 hours. It is still pretty cold here, but next week it isn’t suppose to be as bad.

Week one of my Christmas break was super chill. I played with the dogs, cleaned a little, and binged all 8 seasons of Brooklyn 99 (I don’t know why I haven’t ever watched it before). This week I have a hair appointment and 2 doctors visits. I need to work on my portfolio stuff as well. I’m getting a bit behind for sure.

I did a tiktok about planners. I have gotten the Always fully booked planner every year for the past 4 years. And every year, January is great, then I never look at it again. I want to be a planner person. I have 0 creative skills so drawing in my planner is a no-go for sure. But I want to use my planner!

@thebookdisciple Are you a planner? Tell me your tips! #booktok #plannertok #fypbook ♬ Hedwig’s Theme – John Williams

I was working on my year end wrap up post and realized I only had 5 books I gave 5 stars to. I also realized that only 2 of those were reviewed on the blog! That is crazy to me, so I am going to try and do more reviews of books I read that aren’t from PR companies and publishers.

So, whats new with you this week? Did you read any of the same books I did? Did you find any great book deals I need to grab ASAP? Let me know in the comments!

  1. I have to use a planner for my blog, or I was bad and didn’t get some books read like I needed to in years past. I found one I loved last year. It is a blank one that I have to put the dates in, so that is the only thing I don’t like about it, and it is a little expensive, but I love it otherwise. Hope you are having a nice Christmas day!

  2. I used the Always Fully Booked Planner for a couple years, switched to the Happy Planner for the last 2 years, and for 2023 I am switching things up. I putting my own planner together with downloads from etsy and a 3-ring binder. I am having a ridiculous amount of fun putting it together. lol Hope you had a very Merry Christmas!

  3. Yeah I try to do a mix of reviews that are both just me reading them and ARC’s. I am glad that you had a good Christmas! Planners can be such fun, I just forget to do stuff in them haha so I mostly stick with Trello these days. Hope you have a wonderful week, its the last week of the year, can you believe that? Crazy beans! lol
