Another week! I can’t believe we are almost to the end of April!! State testing started this week, so it was a quiet week for me. I can’t pull students for testing during state testing, so I worked on writing reports and working with teachers.

The week started out super warm here (80’s) but then by Saturday, it was in the 50’s. We will get back to normal next week (low 70’s). I’m hoping for significantly less rain for a bit. My yard can’t take any more, and I would love a break from muddy dogs.

My husband and I celebrated our 20th wedding anniversary this past week (4/18). We didn’t do anything special-we both had work and it was the middle of the week!

Monday is my annual endocrinologist appointment. My TSH is higher than normal (its still within the normal range, but typically we keep it much lower), so I am hoping she adjusts my medication. My weight is also up to the highest its been, so I know we are going to talk about that as well. I literally have no willpower. I just have really intense sugar cravings and I want something sweet all the time. Since I have no willpower, I don’t stop myself. I have always been a stress eater and used food as a reward. So, my weight comes with significant psychological factors as well. But, I’m getting older and I NEED to get it under control.

I’m in love with the new Taylor Swift album and The Alchemy is my favorite song. So good!

So, whats new with you this week? Did you read any of the same books I did? Did you find any great book deals I need to grab ASAP? Let me know in the comments!

  1. We had crazy weather and lots of rain too Samantha. My daughter’s TSH has always been too high (she has Hashimoto) but so far she hasn’t been medicated… Have a great week!

  2. We’ve had the driest week since the start of winter, which meant I managed to get some winter woollens on the line at long last. And it must be a bonus to have a quiet week, before the runup to the madness that is the end of the school year. I hope your appointment is a positive one – and yes… I’m also the heaviest I’ve ever been, having spent a large chunk of the last 3 years in bed. But I also absolutely have to lose this weight as I don’t want to go into my old age carrying extra pounds!! Have a good week, Samantha:)).

  3. So happy to hear you had a quiet week with time to work. I hear you – I put on weight with that hip injury and some habits which have kept me heavier. It needs to go. We could actually use a bit more rain but it is raining today.

Happy Anniversary! Twenty years is an accomplishment worth celebrating. Every time something major happens in the Taylorverse, I feel like the only non-Swiftie out there. Good luck at the doctor’s and I hope your yard dries out.
