Happy Valentines day and happy Presidents day tomorrow! Hope you have a wonderful holiday.
This past week was filled with snow. On Monday night, we were expected to get 1-3 inches. Turned out to be 9 inches here. So, no school for me on Tuesday. Then, on my way home Wednesday, the snow started coming down hard and fast. We picked up another 3 inches or so and a lot during rush hour so the city was a mess. No school Thursday. I teach in a rural district and by Friday, there were still lots of areas there that hadn’t been cleared, so no school Friday either. We haven’t had a 5 day week since returning from Christmas break. When I actually have to work 5 straight days, it just might kill me.
I spent my snow days binging shows, listening to the In Death series, and napping. Overall, it was delightful. I think we have had like 7 snow days so far this year. There is another storm coming through Monday and Monday night; it feels wrong to hope for more snow days, but it would be very nice!
So, whats new with you this week? Did you read any of the same books I did? Did you find any great book deals I need to grab ASAP? Let me know in the comments!

You are getting a lot of snow. I remember hoping for those snow day calls. Glad you are getting a little break.
Wow, that sounds like a lot of snow. With remote learning in our district this year, snow days are pretty much cancelled, and my kids are bummed! Enjoy your new book haul!
Yuck to the snow, but nice you’re getting lots of snow days. In my area, they’ve been closing schools but doing remote learning instead, since they’re all setup for it with COVID. COVID, the gift that keeps on giving, right? Now they don’t even get snow days? I’m sure kids, teachers and parents alike were not thrilled lol !
Enjoy your days – I love the In Death series! what a great choice for your snow days!
Our schools have been doing remote learning days on snow days. So the kids do work in the mornings and have the afternoons off. Glad you are enjoying your days off 🙂
It’s great you are enjoying some snow days to relax and do some fun things. My daughter complains about that for 13 years in Minnesota she never had a snow day. Even with 22 inches, they are just really set up to handle it well We did have days off in 2013 when the high temp of the day was going to be below -10. But now in NC, she has had snow days for school because they can’t handle a dusting which doesn’t stick. I just read Book 52 – Faithless in Death in one sitting. It’s an awesome series to read.
Anne – Books of My Heart This is my Sunday Post
Three snow days… woo hoo! 🙂 Yeah, once you finally have a normal 5 day work week it’s going to be painful. LOL Nice on getting Sweetheart. I’m really excited for all the Sarina Bowen True North spin-oof’s.
Crossing my fingers for more snow days! Everyone needs a break in these times! Have a lovely week, Sam!
When we got snow days the etachers still had to go to school so, lucky you Samantha!!!
