We had a few beautiful days this past week! It was 60 degrees and sunny! Then, Friday brought a high of 32 and snow. But, today its back to 60 and sunny, so I’m assuming Friday was a blip!
Still no word on the job front. As of today, I don’t have anything scheduled either. I’m hoping to start hearing from other schools to set up interviews soon. I haven’t heard anything from either of the jobs I had second interviews for either. Sigh. Job hunting is super stressful. It’s making me slightly crazy.
Friday I began EMDR therapy for PTSD. I don’t have major trauma events like most PTSD suffers, but I have a string of “small t trauma” that has created my OCD and Anxiety disorder. For those of you wondering, it sucks. Its hard to relive things you have worked hard to avoid and bringing back up repeatedly and talking about it? Yup. Sucks. But, the ultimate goal (reducing or eliminating OCD and anxiety symptoms) is worth it.
We still have 5 weeks until spring break. Most schools around here will be taking break in about 2 weeks. My students are restless and antsy. Add in the full moon this week AND a Friday the 13th and you have a recipe for trouble. Its also difficult to get hand sanitizer and tissues (since everyone is freaking about about Covid-19), so I have been carrying a box around with me so I have tissues and sanitizer. Pray for us.
So, whats new with you this week? Did you read any of the same books I did? Did you find any great book deals I need to grab ASAP? Let me know in the comments!
Good luck with… everything. You have a lot going on. I know it will all work out, and I have my fingers and toes crossed that you hear back soon about the job. It’s so awful how long they make you wait.
I hope your have good news on the job front soon.
Wishing you a great reading week
I am curious to see how the EMDR therapy will work Suzanne! And I am still crossing my fingers for your job hunt!
I hope you have a better week, Samantha. And I recall the misery of waiting for job offers after teaching interviews – but I’m sure you will get something. Take care:).
The waiting is the worst.
I hope you hear some good news on the job front soon. Hiring is a slow process. I’m looking forward to more spring like weather this week. Our spring break is March 14-22 for my daughter’s school and I am looking forward to just staying home. We both are. Lulu prefers it too. I hope your therapy helps you a lot. The best things require some effort. Have a healthy week with some great reads!
Oh I hope you are able to find a job soon…..I have struggled with getting a new job too. So I really hope you get a good offer SOON!! You definitely deserve it. I read Lethal Game by Feehan and LOVED it so I am happy to see that you did as well. Great books you got in your haul. I am excited to pick up Alpha Night as well.
Oh my gosh that Bored Teachers video killed me. I had to show my daughter who loves the whole Office Space kinda humor and she cracked up., so thanks for that! 🙂 And Hammer pants. Oh my…
It was 60 today here too. I’m loving it. Bring on spring haha! And good luck with the job stuff. That’s no fun for sure…
Fingers crossed for you job situation! Hope we both love Alpha Night! 🙂
