Kiss the Villain (Standard Edition): A Professor-Student M/M Romance

It was my first week of summer break! Monday was a holiday so my husband was home as well, and then he took a sick day on Tuesday. I had my professional development to work on. Sadly, I was informed I needed 10 more hours than I thought! So, by June 9th at 10:00 am I have to have a total of 180 hours. I need 35 still. Ugh. I only needed 75 to renew my national psychology certification!! Stupid department of education.

I started some yard work after the rain finally stopped (Thursday). I needed to cut some branches back, spray some weed killer, and do the yard treatment for mosquitoes. Our yard doesn’t drain at all when we get heavy rain. That means we have so many mosquitoes. I’m great about giving the dogs their heartworm treatment, but mosquitoes carry so many illnesses for animals and humans. I like to spend time outside in the summer. The dogs love playing in the yard.

I’m also shopping for a new vacuum. We have wood or tile floors throughout the house, with just a few rugs. I need something that can handle dog hair and human hair. My hair is long and it sheds constantly. Even the vacuums that say “no tangle roll” can’t stand up to my hair. And they seem to all just get clogged with dog hair and the suction doesn’t work. Its all very annoying. And why are vacuum cleaners so expensive now?!

So, whats new with you this week? Did you read any of the same books I did? Did you find any great book deals I need to grab ASAP? Let me know in the comments!

  1. The dog hair / people hair is rough. I have both a Dyson corded vaccuum and a stick one and I like them The next week will be busy with PD then or CE but then you will have some open time for summer break.

  2. I didn’t know that you could treat the yard against mosquitoes Samantha! Isn’t that treatment harmful for the dogs? Also enjoy the summer holiday!

    • You have to let it dry before the dogs can go out, so I spray after their last potty break for the evening and by the next day, its good to go.

  3. I need to get my dogs in to get their summer treatments for fleas/ticks, etc. I get standing water in the front of my yard since the gutter doesn’t drain on one side of my driveway sadly. But I think I have to call the city about the issue. Yay for being done with school, but boo for all the professional development you have to do. That’s basically a work week of stuff you have left to do! Hope you get to enjoy some time off this week!
