I made all of these faces this week (probably all them each day of this week).

eARCs thanks to the authors and publishers:

It was a busy week at work. I am realizing I have so much to do and so very little time in which to do it. Like, I have all these meetings scheduled for October, and I was like “Oh, that’s October, I have time” but y’all, October is in a week. I do not have time. Plus, we have 2 days off for a fall break, conferences, and I have two meetings to go to off campus. NOT ENOUGH TIME! So, yeah, I have spent the weekend sort of panicking.

I am still enjoying the job at least. I really like the staff at the school and am finally starting to feel like I know what is going on. Starting at a new place is so hard, but I am starting to feel like I have my feet under me-for the most part.

No doggie escapes this week so I’m winning! Their Barkbox came this week too and that is always a fun day. They really do enjoy new toys, but we need to start getting rid of the old ones because its looking like a toy graveyard around my house. It’s sad.

It was pretty warm this week-back up into the mid 80’s so not really fall like at all, but pretty typical for September in Ohio. I just want it to be fall. That’s 1 step closer to winter which is my favorite. November-February are my favorite months. Also, my allergies are just horrible right now. My nose is stuffy, my ears are clogged, my throat is scratchy, and my eyes are gunky. Its not a happy place. I’m ready for the frost to kill all the things (and the mosquitos-cause I am tired of spraying myself with deep woods off every time I let the dogs out).

So, whats new with you this week? Did you read any of the same books I did? Did you find any great book deals I need to grab ASAP? Let me know in the comments!

  1. I was feeling the same way about the library conference I’m going to in October. I was like, oh I have time to save the money for the hotel room. And yeah, no, it’ll be going on a credit card for now. Glad you’re enjoying your new job more. But yeah, starting over is always hard! That’s one thing that keeps me in my miserable job, knowing I only have 5 more school years till I can retire, and not wanting to start over if it isn’t a perfect fit. Oh well, you read a couple good books this week it looks like! Have a good week!

  2. I am glad to know that you are feeling more at ease at school and like you mostly know what you are doing Samantha LOL Let’s hope next week is even better!

  3. yes I can’t believe it’s almost October. This month flew. I moved to MN where all the plants and bugs die. But now with allergy meds I’m mostly good everywhere. Ragweed and goldenrod are out now and not my friends. And I love the NC weather. We will be around 70 all week and clear. I’m glad you are getting settled at your new school. You got a lot of books this week.

  4. I had a mild sore throat a few mornings this week, I think it’s the weather change. I am ready for fall and cooler weather though. Glad things are going well at the new job. It’s always an adjustment starting somewhere new.

  5. Yeah I am very ready for fall too. We just started to get cooler nights and everything although we are still in the early 70’s but I can definitely feel cooler breezes, so fall is happening soon so I am excited. I hope you end up loving that new Lynsay Sands and Jennifer Ryan. Loved both of those new releases!

    Have a great week darling!
