Find out just how unperfect life can be in #1 New York Times bestselling author Rachel Van Dyken’s steamy new adult romance, The Unperfects. I saw her. Liked her instantly. May have slept with her twice only to… well, never mind. It gets confusing after that point. You see, there are two of them. Identical twins. All I wanted was a vacation from the bullshit but what I got was evil twin number one and innocent twin number two. They say things come in threes, so help me God, if there’s another. I’m healing from past trauma but may have created more for my future. Anyone got any sage? A candle? At this point, I’d take Barney. Send help. Love, Quinn
I don’t even really know where to begin with The Unperfects. It was just a lot. Over the top drama and some just crazy things going on. I am not as up on her previous books set in Seaside so not all the cameos landed for me. But, I think a lot of other readers would appreciate them.
Quinn and Chloe…I don’t even know what to say. They have a really cute meet-cute. After that, things get soap opera dramatic. Its crazy. They both have a LOT of baggage. Chloe is a great heroine-she is funny and endearing. The chronic illness rep is really great in the story. Quinn is a great hero as well-charming and just a touch nerdy at times. So hot. Now, Sophie, Chloe’s twin…she is a horrible person. Like, just awful. I wanted to feel for her, but she is just not okay! She made me so mad. I had to skip to the end to make sure things were going to work out because I was just not sure it was going to have an HEA (and you all know, for me, its HEA or GTFO).
After it is all said and done, I enjoyed The Unperfects. It was a bit overwhelming at times and occasionally confusing. But, it was also adorable and heartwarming. I think this is a book that will be a complete hit or a total miss with readers-you will either love it or DNF. I didn’t love all of it, but I didn’t give up, so maybe others will agree with me and fall in the middle somewhere.

other angsty, new adult romances like Stay With Me by Fiorino, Fallen Crest by Tijan, The Mad Tatter by JM Darhower…then you will probably like The Unperfects!
I’ve only read a couple by this author that I did enjoy though! I will probably skip this one though, based on your review. But great review, thanks for sharing!
