She’s the fantasy they’ve always wanted to share…
Best friends Jonathan Allen and Cruz Ramos share almost everything—a history in the Navy, their sailboat building and restoration business, and the desire to dominate a woman together, which they do at Baltimore’s exclusive club, Blasphemy. Now if they could find someone who wants to play for keeps…
All Hartley Farren has in the world is the charter sailing business she inherited from her beloved father. So when a storm damages her boat, she throws herself on the mercy of business acquaintances to do the repairs—stat. She never expected to find herself desiring the sexy, hard-bodied builders, but being around Jonathan and Cruz reminds Hartley of how much she longs for connection. If only she could decide which man she wants to pursue more…
As their attraction flashes hot, Jonathan and Cruz determine to have Hartley for their own. But the men’s erotic world is new and overwhelming, and Hartley’s unsure if she could really submit to being both of theirs to take…forever.
I have avoided BDSM books. And really, I have avoided anything erotica. Don’t get me wrong, I have read some pretty dirty books, but the whole 50 Shades thing never appealed to me. But, I read an excerpt of Theirs to Take and I was hooked. I really love Laura Kaye’s books, so I decided to give it a shot.
Hartley, Jonathan, and Cruz were perfect! Her familial loss, her damaged boat, and her sheer determination made her a character you just had to like. Then you get easy going Jonathan, a former surfer with hippy parents. Then, to round out their trio, Cruz. Cruz and Jonathan had never expressed an bisexual curiosity before, but they have shared partners. Once they realize Hartley could be perfect for them, they are hooked.
In addition to the Dominate lifestyle and hot sex, there is a story. Hartley’s boat needs repaired so she can continue to charter and teach. Cruz’s family disowns him for his lifestyle. Even though its a brief story, you really care about these 3. I think Jonathan is the one you get the least info about, but maybe because his life just wasn’t tragic or anything!
So, if you are considering trying some riskier books, start with Theirs to Take. Laura Kaye is a great writer and despite my initial hesitations, I found that this book worked for me. Does that mean I am going to dive into all kinds of BDSM books? No. Its just not my thing. But, I won’t rule a book out simply because it has BDSM elements.

Um….well…considering I haven’t read anything like this, I am not entirely sure what to compare this to…
This is a series I’ve been meaning to check out. I’ll make sure I move it up in the queue now. 😉 It sounds really well done and since it’s by Kaye, I suppose it is. I don’t mind BDSM as an element in a story but I do prefer a meaty story with a side of steamy. LOL
I’m not sure this is for me. I’ve never enjoyed Ménage. I’ve tried but they’re not for me. Maybe I need to give it a try. I don’t know. Anyway, glad that you enjoyed it though. Awesome review. ?❤️
I just one-clicked this one a few days ago because the synopsis really appealed to me. I liked the sound of the three characters. Reading this makes me even more excited to pick it up. I met LK at a signing for another author last year and have been meaning to read something by her ever since. I think this might be the one.
It was pretty good! I have only recently discovered Laura Kaye and I love her style.
