Mafia King continues the new generation mafia family. This time, we get Tank, who is an undercover FBI agent, and Kartini, the daughter of Sergio. Now, Sergio’s story gutted me so I was hopeful his daughter would have it easier.
Tank has been straddling the line between the Feds and the Mafia and it has come time to decide which side he is on. While he was a little hurt by Annie picking Ash, he has always had a crush on Kartini, aka Tiny. His job is to be her bodyguard. We all know how THAT will turn out!
Kartini has been dealing with a traumatic event for a year, and it was great to see her finally open up to Tank. These two are great together and I hope we get more of them in future books. Mafia King is a stand alone if you are looking for a quick glimpse into the Mafia Royals series to see if you might enjoy it (I love it).
