Christmas Winter is lucky she loves this time of year, because her name didn’t give her much of a choice. She’s always bubbly and happy. So when she takes a job as an elf in the mall, she’s excited to spread some cheer. But Christmas could never expect what happens when she catches the eye of a stranger.

Nicholas Light owns everything he sees, and when his eyes land on the new elf in his mall’s Santa exhibit, he knows she’s no different. There’s something about her sweet innocence that he has to have, and he’ll concoct a plan to make that happen.

Warning: Grab your jingle bells and swing them over your head… This holiday quickie is gonna light up your Noel. Okay, none of that made sense. But it sounded festive, right? This book is adorable, and you’ll love it. Just don’t get tinsel stuck in the wrong places. Trust us.

I adore Alexa Riley. I love the brevity of the stories that allow me to finish them without having to stop at any point. I love the insta-love cheesiness that exudes from their stories. Stealing Christmas gives you exactly what you expect from AR.

Christmas is a larger girl (they say curvy, but I think in this case they mean bigger than just curvy based on a few descriptions in the story) who is living alone since her mother passed. She adores holidays, especially Christmas, and has her dream job as a holiday decorator for the local mall. On Christmas eve she is summoned to the house of Nic, who owns the mall (and lots of other real estate). He is a recluse looking for a wife so he can create an heir (yes, it seems a bit cold to me too, but I can over look it). He see Christmas on a security camera and BAM he has found the future mother of his children. So, he forces her to attend his Christmas party, then forces her to stay the night, even though he sends everyone else home. They sleep in different rooms though.

The next morning starts off…odd. She sneaks into his room, they kiss, he tells her he didn’t realize it was her, then another woman shows up at the house. See, odd. But, in AR fashion, all this is cleared up and soon they are getting busy in the kitchen. And the bedroom. And Nic’s office. Then BAM-epilogue.

I enjoyed the story, but it felt like all of AR’s holiday shorts just with different character names. Enjoyable yet far from unique or unexpected. I’m still not at the point where I would stop reading these stories though so I think that says something!
