Blake Jennings has always wanted what his parents had: a sweet, simple love that lasts a lifetime. And when he meets Luciana, he knows she’s the one.
Luciana Salazar comes from a tight-knit family that pushes her to follow her dreams. When she takes a job on the Braided Rope Ranch, the last thing she expects is to fall in love with its owner, the dark-haired man she’s seen watching her in town.
Roping the Virgin is over-the-top sweet, with a heaping scoop of sexy steam. Blake sweeps his Luciana off her feet and gives her the life she’s always dreamed of.
Warning: Ridiculous is almost close enough to describe this irresistible short story. Come back to the Jennings farm and pull up a rocking chair. You’ll like the way they treat you.

Oh Alexa Riley, you know me so well. Roping the Virgin is EXACTLY what you expect from Alexa Riley. Smutty, insta-love goodness. Swoon! Blake is a ranch owner who has fallen in love with Luciana, the student working at the town vet clinic. She wants to work with farm animals and needs to finish her clinical hours. So, the natural solution is to move into Blake’s house and work on his farm.

You have to suspend reality if you plan to read an Alexa Riley book. Don’t go into this thinking “Oh that is so ridiculous”. Of course it is ridiculous-its Alexa Riley! Its so over the top and sappy but I love that. I really enjoy that no matter what type of hero (cop, cowboy, etc) the story will be similar. Sometimes, after a really deep, emotional read I need a Riley book to help me get out of the funk. Or, after a DNF book I grab a Riley book to remind me that there are good books in the world. I love every cheesy, over the top moment!

Roping the Virgin is a super fast read at only 90 pages. I finished it in about an hour or less! Riley jumps right into the story with no background or build up. Some people won’t like that; if you are that person, you should avoid all Alexa Riley books in general.

  1. Hmmm, I’m scared to start an Alexa Riley book because I keep hearing good things and then bad things. One of these days, I’ll get over myself and just find out for myself if I like her stuff or not. We’ll see.

  2. I’ve read a few Alexa Riley books. They are really good for when you need a really short steamy romance fix, but you are definitely right when you say you can’t take them too seriously. I liked a few of them but I’ve never loved them for that reason. lol! Great review!
