My obsession with this series is out of control. Seriously, its a problem. But you have to read it in order, so if you haven’t started it yet, go back to The Handmaid!
So, Branford and Alexandra are spending some quality alone time together. He is working up to consummating their marriage by showing his bride that sex isn’t bad (as a servant, she only heard horror stories of forced intercourse). And oh does it get steamy! You get to see the softer side of Branford, but you also get to see the totally possessive side as well. Its pretty steamy. Alexandra’s beauty is noticed by other men and Branford is not happy about that. Thankfully, he doesn’t act like a dick to her about it.
Oh, and he finally handles the mean girls from before (Kimberly and Nelle) and it is 5 kinds of HOT. But, I have a feeling we have not seen the last of Kimberly, the evil bitch.
Most of this ‘episode’ is about the relationship between Branford and Alexandra, but at the end, something very important happens at a tournament. And thats where the book ends…
