If you want a spy novel with steamy sex, you need to pick up Hard Target! This is book 2 but it really is a stand alone! I enjoyed Prime Target a great deal, and Marquita Valentine has become one of my favorite authors lately! Her writing always gives me what I want and there isn’t unnecessary drama! Hard Target starts off with the steamy sex and then almost immediately the danger begins. You really feel the drama and get caught up in the whodunit aspect. Benjamin and Morgan are likable characters. The plot has plenty of twists and it moves at break neck speed. Overall, you can read the book in about 2 1/2 hours!
I will note that the synopsis is NOT what happens in the book. It states that Morgan is microbiologist but in the actual story, she is a receptionist. So, that has obviously been changed and the synopsis needs updated for sure! It didn’t affect my enjoyment of the book at all because I don’t think her career affected the plot development but I wanted to point it out to anyone who might see this synopsis (I am hopeful it will be changed before publication!)
