Untouchable Darkness is book two in the Dark Ones series. While Rachel says they are stand alones, I feel you MUST read them in order to really understand the world she has created! Untouchable Darkness jumps off right where The Dark Ones ended, focusing on Cassius and Stephanie. I loved finding out about Cassius’ past and how he became to be the man he is today. I also liked getting inside Stephanie’s head and understanding her a bit more. And, like most of RVD’s books, the supporting cast is PERFECT! Alex is the annoying/funny friend, Mason is the caring/funny friend, Ethan is the over protective friend, and Genesis is the human in a house of supernaturals! They all play off each other perfectly! I didn’t love Cassius and Stephanie as much as I loved Ethan and Genesis but their story was good. I am looking forward to Alex’s story! A Siren in love?!?
