I took a long break between Rock Chick reads. Why? I’m not sure. As soon as I got back into the Rock Chick world, I was totally hooked! Renegade was amazing for so many reasons.

Reason 1: Jules is a social worker. That is a kick ass job. Period.

Reasons 2: Vance. Crowe.

Reason 3: Jules’ emotional meltdowns are so totally believable! She is full on melting down and I wanted to shout “YES! I know exactly what you mean girl!”. Because seriously, I did know exactly what she meant. And her conversations with her cat? Hilarious!

Reason 4: Stage 10 belly flutters. Lots of them 😉

Reason 5: Lots of action, danger, humor, crazy characters, and steamy sex. First, you know all the rock chicks and hot bunch are entertaining. Plus, you add Zip, Heavy and Frank to the crazy cast of characters and you get even more laughs. Throw in the kids in the home Jules works with and you have heartbreaking and funny. Seriously, this book gives you all the feels, then follows up with tons of laughs. Then smacks you in the face with CRAZY danger. You don’t know when its coming!

So, there are my 5 reasons. I could give you a million, but the soon I stop listing them, the sooner you can start reading/listening to Renegade! Susannah Jones is the narrator and she is perfect. She doesn’t over do the male voices, she has great inflection, and she reads it just like I would have read it in my own head, ya know? It was great!
