New York Times bestselling author Emma Chase returns with a sweet and sexy standalone in the Royally Series.
Princess Lenora Celeste Beatrice Arabella Pembrook had an unusual childhood. She was raised to be a Queen—the first Queen of Wessco.
It’s a big deal.
When she’s crowned at just nineteen, the beautiful young monarch is prepared to rule. She’s charming, clever, confident and cunning.
What she isn’t… is married.
It’s her advising council’s first priority. It’s what Parliament is demanding, and what her people want.
Lenora has no desire to tie herself to a man—particularly one who only wants her for her crown. But compromises must be made and royals must do their duty.
Even Queens. Especially them.

Years ago, Edward Langdon Richard Dorian Rourke, walked away from his title and country. Now he’s an adventurer—climbing mountains, exploring jungles, going wherever he wants, when he wants—until family devotion brings him home.
And a sacred promise keeps him there.
To Edward, the haughty, guarded little Queen is intriguing, infuriating…and utterly captivating. Wanting her just might drive him mad—or become his greatest adventure.

Within the cold, stone walls of the royal palace—mistrust threatens, wills clash, and an undeniable, passionate love will change the future of the monarchy forever.
Every dynasty has a beginning. Every legend starts with a story.
This is theirs.
Royally Yours was a totally unexpected addition to the Royally series. This is the story of Nicholas and Henry’s grandmother, Lenora. Now, I will say, if you read the previous books, you know that Lenora is a widow, which made this story bitter sweet in a way. I was actually struggling with this more than I expected. Something about knowing she is alone in the present made the story sadder.
Lenora becomes queen kind of tragically. Her mom dies when she is a teenager, then a few years later when she is 19, her father dies. So, this 19 year old who has lost both her parents now has be an unmarried queen! This also leads to an arranged marriage. I like the tradition of this old school monarchy. I also really enjoyed seeing these two grow to love each other. Edward is very swoon worthy! These two love each other fiercely and its so amazing. You can really feel the devotion and adoration. Again, I think having seen Lenora as the tough, rigid grandmother she is made it bittersweet to see how wonderful her love story was.
If you are a fan of the series, Royally Yours is a book you do not want to miss! Seeing Lenora rise to the woman she is and doing so with the love of a phenomenal man….sigh. So good. And I have categorized this as historical romance since the story takes place in the 1950’s. I didn’t want to call it contemporary, but its not really historical.
Side note: I am actually thinking I might grab this on audio as well. Its narrated by Shane East and Andi Arndt!

A Swedish Prince by Karina Halle, Royal Affair by Parker Swift, Once Upon a Prince by Rachel Hauck …then you will probably like Royally Yours!
You know, I thought I would read any book by Emma Chase, especially in this series but I’m having trouble taking the leap and reading this because of what I know happens in the here and now with Lenora. It sounds like a lovely romance though so maybe I will give it a go. Thanks for sharing your thoughts, Sam!
I like this author but haven’t tried this series yet. Nice review. Anne – Books of My Heart
