This was my weather report on Tuesday…

eARCs thanks the to authors and publishers:

Happy April! I had my 2nd dose of the vaccine Friday. Thankfully, I felt okay on Saturday. I was a little tired and I had a headache, but I think that was because I slept funny and my neck was killing me.

I had my first interview on Thursday. I hate interviews. I am terrible at them! I talk too fast, I forget where I was going with my response half way through, and it always seems awkward. I have 2 more this week (both are for jobs I am more excited for) and then another the week after next.

The weather was crazy this week. Tuesday it was 70 degrees. Thursday, it snowed. We have had freeze warning for 2 days. Tomorrow it’s supposed to be 70 again. My allergies are going nuts with all the changes.

So, whats new with you this week? Did you read any of the same books I did? Did you find any great book deals I need to grab ASAP? Let me know in the comments!

  1. Seems like we were experiencing the same weather. I am happy it is warming up again. I hate interviews too. It’s so hard talking about yourself. I hope you get called back.

  2. I am glad to know that you are now protected and no big side effects! And yes interviews are always hard!!! Crossing my fingers for you!. The weather is also crazy here: we had sun the whole week and tomorrow we have to expect sleet and snow!

  3. Oh my goodness – what a huge temperature swing in such a short space of time. I don’t know how the flora and fauna cope with that! Best of luck with the interviews – it’s hard if you are someone who talks a lot when you’re nervous, because interviewers are always sympathetic with folks who are shy – but not so much with nervous babblers (like me, for instance!). Have a great week, Samantha:)

  4. Yay for being vaccinated. I am considering that Karin Slaughter book but I might want audio. We are having the 70s here this week without the snow.

Good luck with your interviews. I always had a different approach to interviews than most people. I was interviewing them to see if I wanted their job. I asked lots of questions and got them to talk about themselves, the company and the job. I wanted to learn and know about them honestly. I was fortunate to be able to take my time to look for the job I wanted.

  5. That’s like the perfect temp. It was low 70’s around here today and was awesome. Happy Easter!!!!

Good luck with the interviews! I absolutely hate them too, ugh. the worst. But I hope you get the job you want. 🙂

    Congrats also on the vaccine!

  6. Everyone gettin’ their second covid shot and I’m over here not even eligible to get it yet lol My husband gets his second one on the 16th. Good luck on your interviews! I am a terrible interviewee…so I’m glad my job is a stay at home mom. No interview required lol (although, my son can give me a run for my money). Hope you have a great week!

  7. Ugh, interviewing is the worst. Is there anyone who is actually really good at it? That’s some crazy weather! It’s been mild here for several days but it’s really starting to warm up. I’m not ready!

  8. Yay for getting your vaccines! And good luck with the interviews. I hate doing interviews as well, though I feel like I’ve gotten somewhat better over the years.
