  •   who knows??

I’m looking for reading challenges for 2023-hit me with your picks in the comments!

eARC thanks to the author:

We have almost made it to Christmas break. If you have never worked in education, you don’t understand the feral-ness that takes over in the time between Thanksgiving and Christmas. It is the Thunder Dome. But, we have just 1 more week.

I will be spending the week in meetings. I have 6 evaluations and a manifestation meeting. I think there might be more that pop up.

This past week was good overall. Several meetings and things, but overall, work was productive. I even had a teacher come down to talk to me, seeking advice. I was so glad she felt comfortable and that she valued my opinion! These are the little moments I need to store away like a squirrel and save for the times when everything seems bad.

The weather here has been dreary. I actually LOVE the dreary days. Grey skies and cool is fine by me! It is actually a little warm for December here. It’s been in the 50’s all week.

I’m excited for Christmas break. I want to read for sure, but I’m hoping to get some things organized around the house. My closet is a nightmare and I need to do something! I’m also excited to spend time just chillin’ with the dogs. The puppy is so big now (at least 60 lbs) and he loves to cuddle. He will just flop on me when I’m in my Love Sac and demand pets.

Has anyone else played with the Lensa app? I tried it-it was kind of cool!

So, whats new with you this week? Did you read any of the same books I did? Did you find any great book deals I need to grab ASAP? Let me know in the comments!

  1. I laughed out loud when you described the lead up to the break as Thunderdome. It’s funny cause it’s true. How wonderful that people recognize your skills and are coming to you. That’s a great reward. I hope the week goes quickly and is not too eventful

  2. I’m jealous that you only have one week left! We’ve got this full week and then a day and a half the next week. Ugh. Those last two days will be insane. I love the dreary days too, it means I don’t feel bad about staying inside and reading all day, lol. I’m reading Drama King right now and loving it so far. Hope your last week of school goes as easy and fast as possible!

  3. Well personally I love COYER because it’s flexible and there are many options and you can do just a little or a LOT. I am hosting both the Library Love Challenge, and Thrifty Thursday Challenge. It’s not a challenge but there’s also the Read-along. January is like a flash RA with the 3 Ian books from the Night HUntress world. Then in February we start the Iron Druid Chronicles. I’ve also enjoyed the Audiobook Challenge and New Release Challenge. I challenge myself to read things I own, free or not. I also try to Blog Ahead with setting up my Memes ahead for the year and I create the post setup with everything but the review whenever I get an ARC. So good luck on whatever you decide for you.
