Nothin’

We are creeping closer to the end of summer break. Only 3 weeks left until I go back to work! I’m not ready yet. Honestly, neither is Luna. She gets in a very destructive mood when we are gone. She is so much like Calleigh was when she was a puppy. We left once and Calleigh ate through a wall. Thankfully Luna hasn’t gone through walls yet, but she did chew up the cord to the cameras. So, more training, more exercise to tire her out, and rearranging the outlets so they are above doggie reach. Some of it will just take her getting older-that’s what did it for Calleigh.

I had a doctors appointment on Friday and a blood draw. Monday I have another appointment and another on Tuesday. This is what teachers do during the summer-see all the doctors we put off all year. I have to schedule my mammogram as well. Getting older is really a bummer.

My parents came down for a quick visit on Wednesday. They don’t live that far away, but we don’t see each other often. There is always so much going on. So, it was nice to visit a bit. They also hadn’t met Luna yet, so they wanted to see her. Sammy is my mom’s favorite because he just sits in the chair, curled up next to her. Ranger gets WAY too excited about people and he is too big for that. Everyone has to be seated safely before I let him in. I think he might weigh more than my mom!

So, whats new with you this week? Did you read any of the same books I did? Did you find any great book deals I need to grab ASAP? Let me know in the comments!

  1. So was Luna good with your mom? We love Lulu but we can only handle one dog full-time. We enjoy the visits from neighbor’s pets but they are strictly short term. IDK when I was working I tried hard to fit in appts during lunch or right after work so I would have my weekend or time off to myself and not have to go out or I could go to an event or whatever. Stay cool!

Doesn’t mom know she isn’t supposed to reveal her favorite grand-pup? LOL! I hope you enjoy the heck out of the final few weeks of your break.

  3. Sounds like a pretty good week. I’m with you, trying to get all my doctor appointments out of the way. Although I put off the dentist because I’d hoped to switch and then found out the one I wanted to switch to doesn’t take my insurance, so I’ll end up just going back to my old dentist. I guess at least they have one late night so I can get appointments easily for now. Although I still haven’t scheduled that, lol.
