Happy 4th of July to my Stateside friends! I will be at home, keeping my dogs calm during all the random fireworks.
I had my first mammogram this week! Ah the joys of aging. But, everything came back normal and it wasn’t painful or anything. I’m proud of my self for doing adult things like this! Woohoo!!
Grad school is keeping me busy for sure. Group assignments (which I NEVER liked anyway, but even less so when we are spread all over 4 different time zones and everything is via zoom), papers, quizzes, and so much reading. I’m hoping when I’m back at work we won’t have as many group projects because those are really going to be difficult to manage while working full time.
For the first time in forever, I reviewed more books on NetGalley than I got approved for during the month of June! Woohoo! Go me! I am killin’ it!
So that was my week! Low key and lovely!
So, whats new with you this week? Did you read any of the same books I did? Did you find any great book deals I need to grab ASAP? Let me know in the comments!

What a great week! I think it’s important you are having time while not teaching to get into the grad school routine. Wow you really got the print book haul there!
Sounds like you had a wonderful week.
I hope this week is just as awesome! Happy Reading!
Group projects are the worst, but you definitely have some extra challenges in your situation. Good luck! That is quite a book haul. I hope they are all wonderful. I hope the dog does ok too.
Wow, that’s quite a nice book haul! I hated group projects in school, and can’t imagine having to do them via Zoon. Happy reading!
Happy 4th. Mammograms can be intimidating but after the first one it’s a lot easier because you know what to expect.
Totally with you on group projects and mammograms are not a big deal though I’m a bit behind with mine due to Covid. Looks like you had a bunch of good sounding books come your way. Happy reading!
Wow! So many paperback copies! Awesome! And I have had to keep my cat calm during the random fireworks this week. He kinda freaks out. Happy 4th!
Hope you and the pups have a nice relaxing night at home! 🙂
Happy 4th of July and happy reading this week, so many nice books! Sounds like you had a great week, ugh to mammograms, necessary evils. I had my yearly one last month.
Group projects… ugh. Have never been a fan of those. Hopefully those will lessen. Lots of new books this week! And hooray for all the Netgalley reviewing. That’s such a good feeling to be able to cross those off the list. 🙂
Adulting is SO FUN isn’t it? *cue eye roll* but yay for taking care of things, and I’m glad it went well. I really don’t understand the need for group projects as adults. I get why we do it with kids – they need to learn to work in a group, etc, etc – but if you haven’t figured it out by grad school you’re not going to lol!
Hope you have a great week!
