Welcome to this week’s Sunday Post. This feature is brought to you by The Caffeinated Book Reviewer, so swing by after you are done here and get the full list of participants!

  •   Who knows! I don’t have anything scheduled!

eARCs thanks to the authors and publishers:

Another week, another $500 trip to the vet! Sammy and Dean had to go this time. They had their annual shots and check up. Of course, they have worms. They are beagles and eat everything in the back yard. They have gotten bunnies, birds, you name it. So, it wasn’t a surprise they had worms. So, both of them got worm treatments, which were $80 a piece!

I had an eye doctor appointment on Monday. Thankfully, my prescription hasn’t changed so I don’t need to get new glasses.

We bought Fi collars for Sammy and Dean. These two are escape artists and it is giving me such stress. They have found every tiny gap in our fence and taken off. I have been fixing the fence as they find them, but I am so worried when they get out. The Fi collar has exact location wifi using the ATT network (so its like cellular data). The collar isn’t expensive, but you pay for the cellular data access. I got 6 months for $100 and it is worth every penny! Once they get here, I am sure I will share how it works. Calleigh is too old to run away-she doesn’t even like how big the back yard is. Ranger is too big to get out. Also, he gets really distressed with Sammy and Dean get out.

Calleigh has been on her new medication for over a week now and it does seem to be helping. She tries to play with the boys sometimes and she is moving around easier.

I had my virtual graduation on Tuesday evening. Since I live in Ohio and my university is in Washington State, we have a virtual graduation as well as an in-person one. Most of the students in the program live in WA, OR, or ID, but there are several of us from other states. Honestly, the virtual graduation was more personalized than any graduation I have been a part of. Normally, you just walk up, hand the reader a card with your name on it so they know what to say, then walk across the stage and sit back down. You sit there for hours. This time, our portfolio chair shared information about us and where we will be working next year, and said some nice things about us. It was really great. We even had a “hood” ceremony.

Virtual Graduation

So, whats new with you this week? Did you read any of the same books I did? Did you find any great book deals I need to grab ASAP? Let me know in the comments!

  1. I like the idea of the virtual graduation! I hate graduation ceremonies, so didn’t go to the one for my Master’s degree. And do everything I can to not have to go to the ones at the high school where I am a librarian. Congratulations on that though! Oh Sammy and Dean, probably have to go hunt some demons and that’s why they’re escaping, lol. Hope your new collars work but that you also get all the spots in the fence figured out soon so they aren’t able to keep doing that! Have a good week!

  2. I have a six month old Morkie that absolutely loves to eat leaves and anything with an enticing smell. I’ve had him to the vet twice from the time he was two months to five months for deworming…I feel your pain on vet costs. I think he finally grew out of that puppy, I have to eat everything I come in contact with, stage….hopefully. Also, I love your pups names! Sammy and Dean!! So adorable! I’m currently marathoning Supernatural and loving every moment of it.

Congratulations on graduating! That’s a wonderful achievement!
This week I read Real Regrets by C.W. Farnsworth, I enjoy her writing style a lot. It’s understated and mature characters/plots.

  4. Congrats on graduating! Sounds like a better ceremony than sitting for hours and barely catching a word.

Ack with the vet bills! My cat is a hunter and eats his kills too, so I’m worried about worms. He’s had them a few times *sigh*. Good thing I love him to pieces. Your dogs are sure cute, though!

  5. I know how much you love that Lani Lynn Vale so I am not surprised to see that one there. Hope you love it! I am very excited for Bookshop Cinderella. Happy Graduation! Glad you enjoyed that Ali Hazlewood!

  6. Congrats on your graduation! What you have done is a “tour de force”/extraordinary for studying while working! And Sammy and Dean seem such fiends LOL
