- Leopard’s Scar by Christine Feehan
I hope all my American friends had a great Thanksgiving. We went to my parents for a bit, brought home a ton of leftovers, then just hung out for the rest of the weekend.
Did you do any shopping? I never go to places even on normal days, but certainly not on Black Friday. I did snag some things online from Amazon, Etsy, Novel Grounds, and Stitchfix.
I’ve been binging shows on Apple TV+. I watched Black Bird and Defending Jacob. Black Bird is based on a true story about a guy who tries to illicit a confession from a killer in prison. Defending Jacob is based on a book and it stars Chris Evans. Both were really good!
Now we have 3 weeks until Christmas break. I have a ton of evaluations and meetings between now and then though, so it is going to be TOUGH!
So, whats new with you this week? Did you read any of the same books I did? Did you find any great book deals I need to grab ASAP? Let me know in the comments!
I definitely don’t go anymore to actual stores. It’s so much easier online. I’m glad you had a nice Thanksgiving break before going back to a busy time at work. I am thinking of getting a trial of Apple+ for Shantaram. I got The First Death and I like Janie Crouch.

Yeah, I’ve never been into the Black Friday shopping. I wish I still had Apple TV +, I want to watch the new Will Ferrell Christmas movie. We’ve got three weeks and two days till Christmas break. I’m so ready for it, and so not ready to go back to school tomorrow. Hope you have a good week!
I am really not a fan of in person shopping for the most part. I did some online shopping and was surprised with the discount for my sister’s gift (Vera Bradly bag). Good luck with all the evaluations. I guess you can look at the holiday break as your reward.
I haven’t been to a store except for occasional groceries (my husband does most of the grocery shopping) in more than 3 years. Online is pretty easy and I’m at the stage of life that I just don’t need stuff – I have a house FULL of stuff. It’s a lot cheaper to just stay home. Sounds like you’ve got a busy few weeks ahead of you – my work will be the same though I only work 4 days a week, so that helps. Hope you find time to read a book this week…..

I am looking forward to your review of the new Feehan, I had a blast with that one there. The only shopping I do for Black Friday is shopping online and then doing pickups. I broke one of my monitors accidentally, so this was a great chance to get it replaced as it was super expensive and got it at less than half the cost. But other than that I stay home. Normally you can still get those deals over the weekend so just wait a day haha
I’ll be thinking of you until Christmas!
I avoid the Black Friday traffic and crowds like the plague but I did get a few online deals. I hope the next couple weeks aren’t too difficult. The break is coming! 😊
Hope you have a great week!
I am right there with you! I refuse to go out in public on Black Friday. I think it’s calmed down in recent years but I still have zero interest!
Good luck with your meetings and evaluations!
