It was miserably hot this week. Upper 90’s and sunny every day. Its also been very, very dry here. Honestly, its pretty miserable. The ragweed is also high so I am feeling pretty miserable. So, it wasn’t a great week.

Work was busy. Its hard to believe we have only had 2.5 weeks of school because I have a TON of work. I’m still working on training the new person (she knows how to be a school psych, but she doesn’t know how to do all the Ohio paperwork or the routines in the school. I’m a little worried that she is unhappy. I think this wasn’t what she expected. That makes me sad. And honestly, worried. I want her to like it.

I finished a couple of books this week, so that was good. I’m playing a lot of Disney dreamlight valley. I enjoy it! I still check in on Hello Kitty Island Adventure, but I pretty much don’t have much to do until they release new missions.

It’s a 3 day weekend here in the states and I am excited for that! That also means only a 4 day work week, which I am also excited for. Especially since it is a long time until we have another holiday.

So, whats new with you this week? Did you read any of the same books I did? Did you find any great book deals I need to grab ASAP? Let me know in the comments!

I am sorry to hear that your mentee is maybe not happy with the job. It could just be a reaction to how hard it is when one is new. I would think the start of the year would be jam packed for you, but hopefully you get some breathing room soon. We can only hope that second summer is done. I am over the heat.

  2. Ooh, French Quarter Fright Night sounds interesting! I’ll be watching for that review! Yeah, it’s crazy how much as already happened in a couple weeks of school being back in! I’m wondering about one of our new assistant principals. I’ve see her looking like things aren’t what she expected either. Or maybe she just always comes off that way? I don’t know, but she’s nice, and I would understand if she felt that way. It was hot here last week too. Hope you have a good week!

  3. Hopefully, she is just figuring things out and settling into to it. I always feel a little overwhelmed when I start something new and then once I have it – it’s all good. I get your point about no holidays for awhile but don’t you have Columbus Day or Veteran’s Day? In the corporate world, the next day off would be Thanksgiving. I hope you get a cooler week like we will. I’ll look forward to your Passions in Death review. My review is Tuesday.
