This Week’s Book Haul:

I went a little nuts on Book Outlet on Black Friday…

Non-Bookish News:

I hope all my American readers had a great Thanksgiving! I went up to my parents house about an hour north of where I live. We have a nice time. Then the hubby and I came home and just hung out. It was a really good day!

I also did some online shopping. My mom gave me my birthday money on Thanksgiving and I might have gone a little crazy! I got a pair of boots from Zappos, an obscene amount of books from Book Outlet, some stuff from Michaels, and a Princess Bride blanket from Litograph. So, yep, there went my birthday money!

I’m off work until Tuesday so I am enjoying the relaxation! I have now scanned all my paperbacks into Library Thing so I have an accurate record of what I own. However, it made me realize I need more bookshelves.

So, whats new with you this week? Did you read any of the same books I did? Did you find any great book deals I need to grab ASAP? Let me know in the comments!

  1. Sound like you had fun with your birthday money. Good for you! I don’t actually track the books I own. I only keep track of my digital ARCs in a spreadsheet. My GR TBR is more like a wishlist. I used to add all the books I owned to GR, but then it got scary, so I stopped.

  2. Birthday Money is the best money! You got lots of awesome stuff!!! 🙂
The last 3 days has been so nice being off, I can’t wait for the week of Christmas, I am hoping to take the week off, I seriously need a break.

I hope you have a great week, Samantha! Happy Reading!

  3. Oh my gosh that first video might be the best thing I’ve seen all WEEK, I think! I laughed so hard.

Glad you had a nice Thanksgiving! And yay books haha. and a Princess Bride blanket? How cool!

And yeah I was the same after Thanksgiving lol.

  4. That’s great you had a relaxing holiday. We did too. Went to husbands step-sisters house and enjoyed Thanksgiving with family and friends. I picked up a head cold this weekend. Bummer… I did some shopping online for Black Friday. I will avoid the shops until after the new year. I picked up from free books and some ebooks on sale too. ^_^

  5. I’ve seen that video with the bowls before and I laugh every time! I’d be chasing him with a smackdown in mind too, lol! Yay for online shopping on Black Friday! I certainly don’t want to be fighting the chaos in stores. Glad you got some spending sprees in. 🙂

Enjoy your time off, Samantha! 🙂

  6. Ooh isn’t birthday money the best!

Also, omg, why am I learning about Library Thing only now? I’ve been considering manually cataloging my books haha. You just made my life so much easier. Thanks so much, Samantha! ❤️
