Non-Bookish News:

I was supremely lazy this week and it was awesome. And this week? Yep, more of the same!! Monday I had my follow up with my surgeon and he said everything looks good. I asked specifically about the ringing and the popping I am getting in that ear. He said both are normal. Whew! My stitches dissolved this week as well. I go back on the 22nd to have the packing removed from my ear. From then, it takes a few more weeks of healing time before my hearing can improve, so I have about 6 more weeks before I will know if it improved my hearing. Fingers crossed people!!! Friday I had my endocrinologist appointment on Friday. My thyroid numbers are okay, but still a tad higher than we like. But, we aren’t changing my medication dose. My cholesterol came down so I am happy about that! She stressed the 4 pillars of weight loss: diet, exercise, stress, and sleep. Not gonna lie, January to June was stressful!!! Hopefully my ear gets better and that is one less thing to worry about.

Like I said, this week, my plan is to be lazy again. I don’t have a single doctors appointment this week so I don’t even have to leave the house! Woohoo!!!! I’m working on trying to get SOME organization to my physical books. I’m starting by simply grouping by author. I don’t even have all of the authors books together. It’s a hot mess. Storage is a problem too. I’m totally out of space in my library room, so I want to get some bookshelves for our living room.

So, whats new with you this week? Did you read any of the same books I did? Did you find any great book deals I need to grab ASAP? Let me know in the comments!

  1. Being Lazy is the best thing to be! I love having lazy weeks and I am planning to have the laziest summer ever. I think we need it with all the crazy this world has to offer. It will be nice to just relax. I am glad everything is going so good after your surgery! It’s all good things from here.

Have a wonderful week, Samantha! I hope it is super lazy! lol Happy Reading! xx

  2. Oh Samantha I am so glad the surgeon found all this perfectly nromal! I know you were worried about it last week. Well enjoy your lazy days now.

  3. I hope the results from your surgery continue to be positive. I was “relatively” lazy this weekend just scrubbing bookshelves and unpacking stuff. I didn’t move anything from the old to new house. Of course, I went to Lowe’s again. I needed a prybar. I have 19 bookscases and so I have switched to ebooks and digital audiobooks mostly. It has helped with the moving. The heat continues so stay cool and Happy reading!

  4. Nice to hear everything is going well with your healing! What a relief! Hope you have a relaxing week free of stress.

I have a copy of Suzanne Wright’s newest, I just need to set aside some time to read it. ::)

  5. I am so relieved to hear that you are healing darling and hope you get back in top form soon!! I love those lazy weeks, don’t really get them too often but when I do have them they are very refreshing

  6. Hooray for no appointments this week and hibernating at home! Sounds like the perfect week to me. 🙂
I see one by Karina Halle in your book haul. I’ve been meaning to try something by her for so long and it just hasn’t happened yet. Seeing that books puts her back on my radar so thanks! 🙂
