As one of the few humans stranded on the ice planet, I should be happy that I have a new home. Human women are treasured here, and one alien in particular has made it clear that he wants me. It's hard to push away the sexy, flirtatious Aehako, when all I want to do is grab him by his horns and insist he take me to his furs.

But I've got a terrible secret - the aliens who abducted me are back, and thanks to the translator in my ear, they can find me. My presence here endangers everyone... but can I give up my new life and the man I want more than anything?

Barbarian Lover is actually a pretty quick listen but I enjoyed it! Kira is one of the humans who landed on the ice planet “not hoth”. However, she is different in a couple ways. First, she didn’t resonate, which makes her feel like an outsider. Second, she was implanted with a translator by the little green men who abducted her. Now that translator is letting her know those aliens are coming back for their ‘cargo’.

Aehako is enchanted by Kira, whom he calls “sad eyes” and wants to pursue a sexual relationship with her. He doesn’t care that they haven’t resonated and doesn’t understand why its such a big deal to Kira. He is determined to make her smile though, and his attempts are so endearing! Aehako might be one of my favorites of the blue aliens. Kira is a bit of a ‘debbie downer’ but with good cause! I liked her despite her doom and gloom view. I also enjoyed the action of the story-its more than just Kira and Aehako’s relationship. They travel back to the elder’s cave, the little green men are back, and there is a serious danger to those on ‘not hoth’.  I enjoy the fated mates trope, but I enjoyed even more that Kira and Aehako picked each other despite fate! Barbarian Lover was a quick listen, but totally enjoyable! Hollie Jackson and Mason Lloyd are great narrators.
