Ah, the Chastity Falls series is back! This new adult romance has given us two couples: Jax and Ana, and Braeden and Cara. I, much like Ana, continue to be skeptical of Braeden. This novella gives us a peek back into their lives about 4 months after the last book ended. Ana is ready to pop out a baby, Braeden is working for Jax, Cara is going to school. All seems good, right? If you think that, you have obviously never read a new adult romance!

Ana is having a lot of trouble moving past Braeden’s past and forgiving him as much as Jax has. She likes Cara, and the 2 have become close. However, trouble comes to Florida, and everyone is in danger this time. The story is told from the 4 main character’s POVs so you get to ‘check in’ with all of them. This story is really Cotton’s gift to the readers of Chastity Falls who just aren’t ready to say goodbye yet. Its a nice way to check back in on the characters while still giving the reader the drama and danger that is the mainstay of the series. If you are a fan of the Chastity Falls books, you will enjoy this!

Classic New Adult romance books like Bully by Penelope Douglas, Wait for You by J. Lynn, The Coincidence of Callie and Kayden by Jessica Sorenson…then you will probably like Penance and Promises!
