This was an amazing week for book hauls! That Berkley email always gets me!
It’s finally here! I leave for my psychology conference tomorrow. I’m very excited. I’m a little nervous because I am traveling alone and my hearing sucks, but its okay. The airline knows I am hearing impaired. I have to be there so early though (5 am) and the airport is 45 minutes from my house. My husband took the whole week off to have his own stay-cation and watch the dogs. Usually, I’m in charge of the dogs and he works longer than I do, so I am glad he will be able to stay home with them. It relieves a lot of anxiety for me.
This past week was busy at work. Trying to get ETRs done and prep for the week I am out is stressful. But, I’m as prepared as I can be.
I am having some serious anxiety over the government here in the US. First, getting rid of the Department of Education is scary because that is the department that oversees special education and sets the rules for special education. Then, 17 states suing to remove or reduce protections of ADA and 504 (for people with disabilities to gain access to education, physical locations, jobs, etc). And now the government is looking into how damaging SSRI medication could be to “Making America Healthy Again”. I can’t function without the SSRI I take for anxiety and OCD. My only hope is that the “research” will take as long as most government research and by then Tangerine Palpatine will be out of office. Its getter scary.
So, whats new with you this week? Did you read any of the same books I did? Did you find any great book deals I need to grab ASAP? Let me know in the comments!

Ugh, scary things, but go and enjoy your conference! I can’t wait till my library one in April! I feel like you’re still reading some of my former favorite authors and so I can keep up with their books even as I’m not reading them. Like Lani Lynn Vale and now K. Bromberg! Enjoy your new books and your conference!
I’m right there with you on the scary things. I hope you have a fun time this week. Also glad your dogs won’t be alone. I also got Atonement Sky!

I hope you have a safe and amazing trip!
Yes, the “Tangerine Palpatine” is something else! I’m shocked and frightened every time I read the news! I hope you have a wonderful time at your conference, Sam!
